Hello this is jake. I've gotten great results in the past.So I thought I'd try one more time. My GFCI outlets have never worked since I bought this motor home a year ago. It is a 2017 Thor Challenger 37YT. I Have to admit I bought this at an AUCTION. So i'm kind of learning as I go. The outlets under the sink don't work and I never knew there was actually a GFCI outlet in the bathroom under the mirrors and over the sink. That outlet is a 20 amp GFCI. , it's tripped and can't be reset. I bought another one and im having similar results.. i went back underneath the bed to the breakers, and I noticed that it's labeled. The GFCI BREAKER is a 15 Amp,. Doing a google search. It's obvious that the 15amp would not hold if you overloaded it. you're using 20 amp. Outlets. It is workong and not tripped. My question is, is anyone else, Have the similar model or problem. I'm debating on going out and buying a 15 amp GFCI outlet next. But i'm hoping if I ask others first, you might have figured out a solution already. Thanks. Jake in phoenix az

A 20 amp outlet would only trip the 15 circuit breaker if there is a greater than 15 amp load in the 20 amp outlet (in other words the 20 amp outlet by itself would not trip the circuit breaker). But, yes, it makes no sense to have a 15 amp breaker if the circuit is planned to have a 20 amp load and the wiring is the correct size for that load. (Circuit breakers are there to protect the wiring.)

I'd suggest getting an outlet tester. You plug it in and it tells you if it is wired correctly and properly protected. Also check all the wires from the main circuit breaker panel and all the outlets. A loose connection is not uncommon.

A GFCI outlet will not reset if there is not 120 VAC going to it. Have you cycled the breaker in the power center?

I have.
Used a klein tool receiver breaker finder. When I plug into any gfic outlet it won't light up because the breaker is tripped and there's no power when I plug it into regular outlets. I get the bottom rita, which says correct wiring. Someone else suggested a power center. I have not found that yet, but I think that's my next bet to see if there's a breaker other than the panel underneath the bed. Thanks for the reply

I've searched the entire unit in cannot find any breakers in any of the cabinets. two cabinets have a power boxrs. One is the inverter , the other is a power relay switch, neither have any breakers. In the lower deck. But thanks for trying.

Your Power Center is the panel under the bed in your RV which has all the 120 VAC breakers and the house 12 VDC fuses.

I have a 2017 Palazzo 33.2 and have the same problem. Thor built so the breakers are half covered by lid and even though it does not appear to be tripped, I flip breaker off and back on then the socket in bathroom can be reset and then I have power again on sockets in kitchen. Go figure

Okay, thanks for the info. That is the first place I checked as I stated in the original question. All the breakers are are on and good. that's where I noticed that there is a 15 amp. Breaker for the GFIC Brreaker and the outlet over the sink is a 20 amp GFIC
Outlet...

YYes, thanks for the help. I tried to recycle of the breakers. It's not tripped. I took the panel off the top and looking for additional breakers.Inside the wiring harness, nothing there either.

A GFCI breaker will not reset for several reasons depending on the electrical design of the coach. If you have one GFCi outlet it will probably be in the bathroom and it will have several outlets that are downstream from it, meaning other outlets are in series with the bathroom GFCi. In this case the bathroom GFCi outlet has a line side and a load side. The line from the GFCi breaker in the breaker panel feeds the bathroom GFCi and the load side of that GFCi outlet feeds all of the downstream outlets. If any of those outlets or their wiring becomes shorted or compromised in some way then the bathroom GFCi will trip and not reset.

Other RV's, to my understanding, can have more than one GFCi outlet and each having their own downstream loads or outlets. In that case you could have just one GFCi outlet series affected.

In my case my 2023 Thor Axis 24.1 has one GFCi outlet in the bathroom which feeds the kitchen and passenger seat outlets as well as the outside outlet. My bathroom GFCi was tripped and not resetting last July (2024) and the cause was found to be shorted wires behind the bathroom GFCi outlet. All of my downstream outlets were checked and no issues found. Keep in mind that the main GFCi outlet is a house type outlet with screw down connections but usually all of the other RV outlets are the type with press on backs and not screw down connections and require a special tool (or a hammer and a 2X4) to wire them.

One more thought the bathroom socket on ours has a red light on right side if flashing you can’t reset because no power to it and you need to flip breaker at foot of bed , when solid red then press press reset . Make sure you don’t have anything plugged in while trying to reset breakers. These replies are for everyone reading them not just OP.

One more thing have you gone into battery compartment to make the trip breakers ( yellow lever exposed) are pushed in. Batteries go to inverter to give power to some sockets. Good luck
