Hello everyone!

My wife and I just purchased or first RV, and after a long and painful choice process, we decided to go with the Zinger 25rk. We could not be happier, it seem like a great trailer for the price.

I do have one question. When we were doing our walk through with the dealer, they pointed out that the front and back axle's are spaced farther apart than normal. The Zinger is a new line to them, so they didn't know why it was that way. My question is, what are the advantages/disadvantages to having further spaced axle's?

That's all I have for now, we are excited to be part of the Crossroads family, and can't wait to take the new Zinger out!

I also have the "Secure Stance" suspension on my CFX 27RL (CTX). Iinitiallythought having the axles farther apart would put significant additional stress on the tires, wheels and axles during tight turns particularly when parking. Actually I have not experienced any issues with the design so far.
I was told by spreading the axles farther apart, Crossroads is able to reduce the amount of pin weight thereby making the 5vr towable by a half ton pickup because the wheels have more of the weight. Since I have a F350 dually, that was not an issue for me. I will say that I would not want to tow it with anything less than a dually as it is a lot of trailer regardless of the pin weight.
One issue has been that there are no expandable wheel chocks that are currently made toaccommodatethe 15" spread between the wheels so I use the standard wheel chocks at the base of the tires. If anybody has found chocks that can work with a 15" space between tires, please let me know.
Man, am I ready to co camping but here I sit waiting on the big snow coming to North Carolina tonight.
