Has Thor Motorcoach asked for an indemnification release from anyone else? Time for class action lawsuit?

Following a year of various warranty issues Thor has offered a 6 month warranty extension. The extension requires that I sign a general liability release that protects them and the dealer "from any known and unknown contract, warranty, equity and statutory claims, demands, administrative proceedings and lawsuits of any kind relating to or arising now or in the future relating to your purchase, ownership and use of the RV".

My feeling this release is an admission of guilt in not having proper factory quality control practices in manufacturing processes.

I am looking for thoughts. Thor sounds primed for a class action lawsuit to force them to improve quality control and offer longer warranties?

Thoughts?

Rots a ruck with that. You have to sue the whole industry.

Yes, that tactic is common. The last guy here asking about that refused to sign and still got his extended warranty

I will not be signing that's for sure. And yes, based on what I see the whole industry needs an overhaul.
My 2023 Thor Axis had multiple issues in the first 9 months of ownership (and still has issues ongoing). Thor offered me the same, referred to as an LROW (Limited Repair Only Warranty) and wanted me to sign a release. I had email and verbal discussions with their reps who insisted that no one in their chain of command would offer anything different. I sent the LROW to a legal company I have insurance with and they advised me that it would not be in my best interest, which I already knew. I wrote to the Thor administration twice and was finally contacted by a VP who listened to my arguments as to why a release did not make sense for my situation. There were things that happened, such as arcing and sparking under the sofa due to a cut cable caused by a metal piece and I did not feel I should give up my rights to be able to hold Thor and the dealer responsible should that come up again and result in someone getting hurt. In the end they gave me a one year extended warranty (LROW) with no release required.

Until poor people start owning high end RVs nothing will happen. The only way to clean up the swamp that is the RV industry is for the feds to step in and make them produce a safe and semi reliable product. The farce that is an RVIA badge means nothing to the consumer.
