Those of you who have replaced your Axerra nav head unit it with an android auto compatible one, what did you buy and what map software are you using. My 19 AVM 211NAV has tapped out so I've been using my phone with a bluetooth speaker running RVLIFES software. I don't like that it decides to reroute me, seemingly on a whim, without warning. Its done it twice with no warning or explanation. At least google maps gives me a warning and an option to not reroute, in my car.

I'm using a Clarion FX450 head unit with Android auto and Apple Car Play. Works flawlessly. Easy install. Double DIN with the 6 inch screen.

We have an entire recent thread on the pros and cons of the RVLife GPS APP.
Any double DIN head unit with a backup camera input will work. Pick the one with the features you want.

I already have a couple in mind. Hoping to find out if there is better map software than the RVLIFE one.

Legitimately and by great consensus;
Any software is better.

Sygic is a good choice.
Change the title of your post.
Many of us use three apps at once.

A lot of people use the Sygic Truck/Caravan APP. It's not perfect but is is lot more like a GPS than the RVLife APP.

Sorry for a rider question you talk of Double Din. This mine and I thought this was a single din and it’s at the top of screen or am I wrong and this is a double din

Measure it to tell for sure. Google will tell you.
If you're not installing the new one yourself just go to a shop and buy whatever they have the least complaints about if it suits your needs.

It might be double DIN if the lower corners were cut out, but it probably does not have the standard Double DIN slide-in cage.

Looking at the manual, it's a single DIN installation and sleeve. The front connector flips down beyond the cage.

DIN is becoming extinct.
Some new radios are as flat as a tablet.
Soon all will be.
With cd being extinct there is no need for depth in a radio head.
