We are considering moving into the motorhome lifestyle from having a couple of fifthwheels for the last 22 years. We have been studying the Challenger model for a couple of years now, and would like to start with a gas model to start with. Any thoughts on this model? Pros and cons, suggestions, or what to look for as minuses or pluses with this entry model? The 36HT is the model we are very impressed with.

One question we have is the TV/satellite setup. Is a receiver needed for all three TV's?

Thanks,

Betty

Welcome, I do not know anything about the Challenger. I have a Four Winds and I am very happy with it so far. My only advice is to buy from a good dealership, from what I have read on this sight it is very important, so ask around a little and find out who takes care of their customer. Good Luck

Thanks!

KNMIB,

Thanks for the response. It is always scary to transition from one way of camping to a whole other world, but we think this may be the right time to make the move. I've read some negative comments about shoddy workmanship, and have also seen it for myself at a nearby dealership in regards to the Challenger. We have been very fortunate with our 5'ers, so we need to be very thorough with our research. We like the Four Winds as well, but feel we need a little more room that the Challenger offers. We have a friend who has a 2010 model, and is very pleased with it. We just hope that we get a "jewel" and not a diamond in the rough! Take care.
