Hi everybody, we are Wayne and Liz, a newly retired couple in Melbourne FL. We traded in our truck and trailer and purchased a 2016 Ace 30.1 Looking forward to lots of travel in 2019. I enjoy the forums and look forward to meeting lots of you at the Rally or on the road.
 
Hey Wayne & Liz. I'm in Viera. Hope to run into you on the road. We are loading the grandkids this weekend and heading to KARS Park in Merritt Island, our favorite weekend getaway. Gonna be great weather, low 50s or high 40s. Gotta love winter RVing in Florida. Have fun with that ACE!
 
Hi Pavemark- you are right about this time of year here in FL, although we are still waiting for fall... Lol. Going to spend Thanksgiving at Manatee Hammock for 5 days.
 
Pavemike- sorry about messing up your handle. We're doing Christmas at Jetty Park. Hope there is a launch during that period.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your retirement!

Florida is great for RV camping. Especially before the snow birds show up and after they leave! Campsites to the south tend to fill up those months when they are around.

We'll be doing a spring Sunshine rally somewhere, dates and location being worked out. (Possibly the first weekend in April.) Stay tuned to the forum!

Mr. Sunshine...I'll cast my vote for somewhere north of Orlando...maybe Ocala area. Ever been on a pontoon up the Silver River from Ocala all the way to Silver Springs State Park? An adventure on the Top 5!! Keep us posted.

Thanks for your imput. Please PM me if you want to discuss. The Ocala area has and will continue to be under consideration, along with further west central locations.
 
we were there last weekend. Beautiful spot and enjoyed Kennedy Space Center. Broke down in Bartow FL on the way home and Bartow Ford was able to repair by Tuesday. We rented an Enterprise car to get us home for work. It all worked out... repair under warranty and free tow, although it had to come from Orlando. We feel lucky to not have broken down in the country, but a populated town and now have one under our belt :)
 
Sorry to hear about your breakdown, glad you were able to get it taken care of. We are camping here at Manatee Hammock Park now, right across the river from the VAB at the cape. A really beautiful place. 20181123_112454~2.jpeg

We are Jim and Ellen and live in Palm Bay. We bought a 35SK a little over a month ago, after having a 5th wheel. I just joined the forum, but would like to connect with you. We are planning to go to Long Point next weekend, still have to get reservations. We just returned from a trip to Alabama and Georgia a few days ago.
 
Hi and welcome to the board. We also live in Palm Bay. Perhaps we can meet up sometime. You will find there are a lot of really smart and helpful people here who are willing to help answer most questions you may have.
