Just joining to see how Thor treats it's other brands customers....

Our Timeline:
Ordered a Redwood 38gk on 7-17 with an estimated delivery of late Sept due to a residential package we wanted...
Delivered to the dealer on 9-26 and we left for vacation in the 'old' 2012 5er

On 9-11 got a call from dealerships Gen'l Mgr that there was a problem...
Large Ottoman ordered was not included in the build and
there were wrinkles in the roof rubber... research found a
strut/rafter was missing in the roof at the end of the front cap
where it ties to the roof and 'air' had got under it to wrinkle the roof.

My concern is that if air got under there so did water, etc....
and if a frame member is missing what else is ?!?

While the dealership is working in good faith and saying they can fix it as they've done the same to two others (WHAT - they left this off others ????)

Not sure I will accept this rv until I peak to the mfg....
and get something LARGE in writing...

so much for our early october vacation !

Welcome to the forum. I would like to be able congratulate you on the new rig, but I guess I can't do that.

With all the trouble CR has been having with there units the last couple of years, if it was me, I would tell them to keep it!! A person can have enough trouble/problems with out "knowingly" buying into them right from the start.

Do some research on the Life Style 5th wheel. I think you will be impressed with them

If it were me I would tell them to build me a new one. Make sure you get the VIN number so they don't try and send this one back and have it repaired then send it back and call it a new one. With the issue you are reporting there is no way I would let a dealer try and fix that and call it good.

x2. oh and welcome to the forum. just wish it were under happier circumstances.

First off, welcome to the forum from a transplanted Texan now living in southern Nevada. Bought my current unit while visiting family in Houston. I would strongly suggest that you not except the unit.
