Ok. So the wife and I currently at a campground in Seneca SC in our 2016 Thor Gemini 23TR. We were lounging outside the motorhome, had been in and out of it several times, and when my wife went to go inside again the door would not open (like it was locked from the inside).

Accessed the inside through the drivers side door and looked at the inside portion of the main entry door. There are 2 red levers....both in the unlocked position. Door still won’t budge (open).

Seems to me the opening mechanism on the “paddle” broke but not sure because I am not the most mechanically inclined individual.

Has this happened to anyone else? I have been googling but can’t find a part number. Should I call a locksmith?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Recently happened to me. Had to take 3 screws out from inside and pull off including the red knobs. The broken pieces come out as does the spring. I reassembled and used the deadbolt to open and close door. If yours is a broken plunger and many others have had it happen around our model year. Your 3 options are 1) full handset replacement from Trimark, 2) a different make I believe Bauer 3) source just the plunger from Bob in Kansas :) I did option 3. Trimark has upgraded plunger from pot metal to Stainless steel but you pay full price for whole handset. (some report a free replacement but I could not get that when I called trimark) I found the "patent pending" plunger on you tube and installed it myself. Works great now! Nancy
