Help with removal

Hello,
Trying remove the cover for our stair light. Don’t want to force and break it. What am I missing?

I'm confused (not uncommon). Is that silver thing the 'cover'? Or are you trying to remove the light unit from the side wall? It looks like there is a screw or two securing it to the wall. Did you remove it/them? That appears to be an LED light. It likely doesn't come apart.

Is it not working? Did it ever?

Silver disk is the cover. Already removed two screws. The center light thing won’t twist or pull out. Just wanting to find and replace bulb.

That looks like an LED so likely the entire assembly might need to be replaced. Did you take a volt meter and check for power to ensure it's getting 12 volts? Could also have adhesive or sticky back tape holding it in place. Good luck.

Haven’t checked for 12 volts yet because I can’t get it out.

Can you get to the backside of the panel the light is attached to? Maybe inside a storage compartment? That might give you some clues about how it is attached. But I suspect if all visible screws are removed it just a tight fit. Twist & pull?

Wish I could it’s on the side of the entry stairs.

You may have to resort to a stiff putty knife between the light and the stepwell.

Thanks! It’s actually recessed in the tile.
