Hershey RV Show

I can't seem to but a deal together on the Tiffin Bus so I'm going to revisit the Phaeton 42 bath and half. It still has the 450 hp Cummings and about 100 k cheaper

Phaeton is a beautiful coach, quite frankly I can't see what is different between the Phaeton and the Allegra Bus???

We have a friend with a Tiffen but not the Allegro. It was the Phaeton and it is beautiful. Similar colors of our RW. Thing that I kept hearing was the milage.....not even close to ours that will keep us in the 5th wheel and RW. :)

When we were in Branson workcamping the campground we worked at was used by Newell for their new owners to "test" their new $1.5+M rigs. They would spend 3-5 days in the park with their new Newell's checking them out, then they would go back to the factory to have things fixed or tweaked.

These are some beautiful rigs, way too rich for me!!!

During our travels this year, we have been parked next to several new Newell Coaches, even had one couple invite us in for a tour, wow what a awesome coach :)
It is amazing what you can do with a really large sack of money !!!

That's why I'll keep Ginny working.....apparently that 450 Cummings gets thirsty.

We're headed to Tom Rapers today to look at some of the different units.

Sister and Bro-in-law have a nice Phaeton --- it has a LARGE 'dance floor ' for front living that we usually end up in when all 5 or 6 couples rv together !

Dave, we worked with a workkamper couple several years ago that owned a 40 ft Phaeton and they loved it. It has always been my favorite in that price range. I do remember him saying that every year you should go back to the factory and let them go through the rig to correct any problems and service what needs to be serviced. I think that is probably true with any MH.

We purchased our 38 GK at the Hershey show last Sept. Dave. My impression was that all the dealers were eager to sell the show units, even if it meant returning them to their lots first. I'd suspect that they cherry-pick the units they're going to put out - at least I would to save the embarrassment of showing a unit with obvious flaws. No major problems for us so far either - but then, we've only been full-timing for 23 hours. :) More on that when I have the energy to write a full post...

Well we drove a brand new Phaeton 42LH. It was nice but we were a little disappointed in the closet space and the shower. The Redwood has a bigger closet and shower however I believe over all the Tiffin has much more storage. That big 450 horse Cummins was VERY nice and the tag axle made driving with one hand a breeze.

Also drove and fell in love with a 2006 Zephyr. However it's on consignment and in my opinion about 30K too high. It is 45 ft and she drove very nice. The also had a 07 Monacco Signature that was beautiful but even though it's beautiful....I don't know much about them.

I've already checked with the insurance company and they said depending on the actual coach we end up with we should figure on about 3k a year. We'd still love to find a dealer that would work with us on a Alegro bus 45 LP but so far no luck.

Dave, stay way from the older Monacos. Although I really like them, once they went under and the new company started back up, they refused any warranties or help on the older Monacos. I don't think it has changed anything yet.

Thanks for that advice....we'll keep looking around because we hope that this purchase will be the last for a long time. I do find it amazing how some of the dealers try to take advantage of folks. I realize that everyone has to turn a profit but some of the deals I've seen are insulting.

I think unless we find a dealer willing to work with us on the "45LP Bus" we'll end up with the 42LH Phaeton.
