Has anyone replaced the High Pointe cooktop? I have searched low and high (pun intended) and no other cooktops are as large as the High Pointe M-ID185. almost without exception they would drop through the cutout of our counter. Problem with current one is erratic response of left burner. It changes settings up and down on its own, even using it without the other burned turned on. Right burner works as advertised. I assume sending in for troubleshooting and repair would cost more than replacing it with a new/different one, but I cannot find one to fit the hole.

According to the High Pointe manual, the cut out is 23.8" x 14.3". The Cuisinart is 23.5 x 14.25. Making it just small enough to drop through the hole. :-(

It seams like the whole has to be a little bit bigger for the unit to drop in. The lip around the outside is what supports the unit. Amazon has a liberal return policy. Why not order it, try it for fit and return if not satisfied?

Thanks LT, I just might have to if nobody has a better idea. Worst case is I will build a recessed box it can sit in to make it flush with the counter top. But it will have a gap and I need top find some sort of heat resistant trim to fill the gap and clean up the edge of the countertop.
It will all work out in the end.

Thanks

Thank you. That looks like a perfect fit (except for the price) but it will be just the thing we need. Thank you!
