High Pointe Induction Cooktop overheating

My Thor Palazzo comes with a High Pointe induction cooktop. The manual says it is model M-ID175. However, I wonder if it is actually model MC-ID175, but the distinction is not likely to be the cause of my primary issue.

For those not immediately knowledgeable about these two models, their manuals show two different temperature settings.

M-ID175: 120, 150, 180, 210, 250, 300, 325, 350, 375, 425, and 450 degrees F
MC-ID175: 150, 180, 210, 240, 270, 300, 330, 360, 390, 420, and 450 degrees F --- these are my settings

The problem I have has existed since I first tried the cooktop. No matter what temperature setting I use, a pot of water is heated above the boiling point. The same situation exists no matter what heat setting I use. I am using an appropriate-sized pot which is new and not warped.

Is there any way to calibrate the temperature? Should I be looking at replacing a part? Is it possible that the manufacturer assembled the cooktop incorrectly?

Obviously, my warranty has long expired (my RV was in and out of the shop for about 24 months in the first 36 months I owned the vehicle) and this issue was not as important as the other issues I had.

Thanks for any insights you might have.
