House batteries not charging when on Shore power

Hello, we have a 2016 Challenger 37ND. I put it in the shop to have the drop down bunk worked on but while it was there, the house batteries drained down from sitting on their lot for almost a month. Looking at my batteries, one was slightly swelling so I decided to replace them both with AGM 6v batteries. I installed them but now they will not stay charged while on shore power. They did before I took it in to the shop. The chassis battery is doing fine. My levelers won’t work and the generator will not start.
Any ideas as to why this is happening? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

Batteries not connected correctly
Battery connections missing
DC breakers tripped
USE/STORE latching relay in STORE position
Reverse polarity fuses in Power Center or external converter/charger (50 amp RV) blown
Converter/charger breaker open/tripped

Does everything else work on SP?

Yes. Batteries are wired correctly. I tagged each lead before removing. I’ve always done with every RV I’ve owned.
I just now switched the use button. Not sure if service dept at dealership switched to shore or not.
The small panel reads 10.9V right now. They have always read at over 13v in the past. Since I switched the use button, I’ll give it a while and see if they come up.
Thanks for your reply.

At 10.9 volts the house batteries are completely dead (or you have a bad cell). There may not be enough power to switch the latching relay to the USE position without running the RV engine to charge them or putting an external charger on them or have someone hold the EMERGENCY START switch while switching to USE (this may not work either).

Would I need to take the leads off of the batteries and charge them one at a time on 6v or can they be charged while in series on 12v. If so where do I put the charger clamps?

Yes, a 12 volt charge can be used. The leads go on the + side that has no cable going to a negative terminal, and the negative side that has no leads going to a + terminal.

I belive that model has a master breaker tucked in behind the battery box. It is completely separate from either of your other two breaker panels. It is likely that when doing the repair or when the old battery failed it tripped that breaker.

Thanks for the reply. I found my batteries to be bad. I ordered and installed 2 new AGM batteries. They came in dead. lol. I put a charger on one of them to get enough juice to switch the relay. That worked. I put it all back together and shore power had the batteries fully charged by the next day.
