Hi, I would appreciate someone's help. I took pictures of the house batteries on my 2016 AXIS 24.1. Not going to say anything against the guy helping but he removed a few cables before I could get pictures.
What I got looks strange, red and black on the same post??? Not normal!
Can you please give me a very precise picture of the hook up as well as a good description. Putting in 2 lithium lifepo4 batteries.
I would appreciate any and all help.
Thanks

Pictures without labels are not very helpful as Thor uses a red anti-corrosion spray on all of them. You are going to have to trace the cables to determine their purpose.
Your batteries will be connected to in parallel so two short cables + to +, - to -
There will be one ground cable connected to the metal frame and one - post. It should be the only external - connection.
There will be one cable that goes to a 100 amp DC breaker that goes to a + post for your generator & leveling system (if equipped).
There will be one cable that goes to a 50 amp DC breaker that goes to a + post for your battery disconnect relay and the house DC buss.
There may be a cable for an inverter + (if equipped).

Do you have any left over?

I have the same issue. I inherited a thor axis 24.1 with the house batteries disconnected. I followed the instructions but my 100 amp breaker keeps tripping. What did I miss?

I can see no reason the 100 amp breaker would trip just by connecting it to a + terminal on the battery bank UNLESS there was a shorting issue on the other side of the breaker. Unless starting the generator there should only be milliamps of current down that line for the generator controller.

I'd see if you can get a full wiring schematic from Thor. Otherwise strip it all out and start over if you know DC electrics. if not, would cost $$$ to have done by a mobile tech. Thor color codes the wires at the ends and is often not intuitive at all.
My schematic shows the yellow, red, and white tapes on ends of the cables. The planner probably knew what to do, then to expect assemblers to know?
I was lucky to have a dealer tech that knew how to rectify before we picked ours up. I had a full page list for him to check, and stuff still fell off on the way off the lot...

Want to thank all. I discovered a code. Cables had white marks on them I, Ii, III, , III.
1 & 3 are ground, negative
L to R sequence.
2 & 4 are hot, positive connection.
There are 2 cables with II. They hook up on positive post of the, first or battery on left. Also blue cable goes on that post too.
The cable with IIII goes on the hot, positive side of second battery on far right. Connect it first as you need to slide battery over to the right for placement of first battery.

Just remember, when replacing batteries, the + & - posts could be reversed from the originals if not exactly the same battery.... and some forum posts have erroneous information.
