Should the house battery be connected when the rig is connected to shore.
Should the house battery be connected when the rig is connected to shore.
Thanks for reply the switch is turned off
Yes. You charger is a three phase type made for lead acid batteries. The automatic phases are: bulk (max amperage), equalization (constant voltage) and float (varying voltage depending on temperature to maintain the batteries at 100% state of charge (SOC))..Is the battery protected from over charging?
Is the battery protected from over charging?
One more question I should keep the house battery on while traveling to keep it changed correct
What model year is your motorhome?
Our prior Class C (2004 Thor Chateau) would overcharge the house battery if I left it plugged in to Shore Power. I replaced the inverter with a modern version that had the smarts to properly charge and then maintain the battery (as described above).
Our 2015 ACE came with the newer style inverter.
Yes, see reply #5.
I think you're referring to the converter, not inverter.
The difference between an RV converter and an inverter is that a converter converts AC power to DC power, while an inverter converts DC power to AC power.
You're probably right. Wrong terminology.
