I want to start a new thread about nothing, and let it run...

Hey Duck! Do you need these to complete your collection? Brand New in box genuine IBM box of 10 cleaning disks for 8" floppy drives.

Cleaning out some filing cabinets in the top of my shop.
I have a hard enough time explaining the 5.25 to anyone under 45 years old.
The 8" would require a white-board lecture.

And
I've been giving away my cool stuff like those 8" disks.
I'm too tired of people to still be explaining why the magnetometer i have was on a mercury space capsule and why that makes it very cool...after I've spent ten minutes explaining what the hell a magnetometer is.
(I still have two of these. They're tiny. I gave away the one that mapped the Marianas Trench. It was a 200lb console)
I have two stick type magnetometers a jp3 and one of the lime green ones if anyone wants to trade(finds ferrous property stakes and such. )

Also have an extremely sensitive bench top and one from a p3 aircraft. Up for trade.
(All from my scuba wreck finding days. We were very serious 'finders')

It was more of a tongue-in-cheek inquiry - more to stir old memories.

I won't be posting as much as I used to.
My detractors can walk the 1000ft to get a picture for some newb who needs to know where their headlights are located on the rv they've owned for four years.

And
I made a new years resolution to finish a book a week.
So far it's been four weeks and I've completed four books.

That's a LOT of coloring and my hand is pretty tired but I'm really committed.
In my downtime, I was able to finally figure out to use my Galaxy Watch. Damn thing won't let me sit down at the computer too long anymore, I got to make my targets. Not sure what happens if I don't, but I not taking any chances.

True story from another forum...

A OP says he cannot find his keys that would let me into the battery compartment and engine and gas on my 2021 Winnebago Forza. He wants to know if Winnebago can replace those keys?

Before you laugh, take into account he may have only had the RV 3 years.

You should get color by the numbers. Would be faster.

Someone in this thread mentioned collecting watches.
I'm getting rid of
Many Roy King watches both men's and women's.

Longines five diamond mystery watch. Men's

1969 caravelle 666 solid red ring with airplane. Day/date Men's

All run and keep good time.

I HATE eBay and would rather trade them at a fraction of the price here.

The helplessness has gone from being a wonderment to being absolutely Cirque de Absurde.

It's like they're contesting to be the
King of Inane.

It took much effort, and the most recent ones were the best contenders...but;
Worst halftime crap ever ever.
The clown car was the highlight of a sponsored by jeep show using a non-jeep clown car.
Even the sponsor wanted nothing to do with that mess.

Clown car... is it a cultural or ageist thing to know wha a clown car represents?

I knew it was going to be bad so that is when I scheduled my shower.
On another note, YouTubeTV was making the game unwatchable with buffering, stuttering, and poor quality picture. The same thing had happened at times during some of the playoff games. I switched to TubiTV (free) and the picture is perfect. Also, TubiTV's stream was 3 plays ahead of YouTubeTV's stream.

We watch it about once every three years. We don't care about sports ball of any sort. But, after that stupid on side kick rule and the unsportsmanlike like conduct calls...what a stupid game it has become even for someone who couldn't care less...a fan must just throw-up at some of the pusillanimous garbage.

Tubi did a great job throughout the entire game.
One three second screen freeze and I'm sure it was just to adjust the time.

“Clown car”….The exact words I uttered when they started to crawl out.

I have a wonderful new faucet in one of the behemoth bathrooms.
I thought it a bit gimmicky when I bought it but it is the nicest thing I've ever washed my hands under.
Well thought out installation, perfect finish and super lightweight(rv concern for some folks).

I mod EVERYTHING.
There is nothing for me to change on this great faucet.
(Ok...I changed the weight on the sprayer hose because I have an engineering type illness and it gained me ABOUT A FOOT of extra length.)

I can't figure this out and need some help.
Per the internets there is no viable opinion on towing a 4wd 2nd generation (1997ish to 2005ish) S10.

Mine has a 231hd manual transfer case. It has old school 2wd neutral 4lo 4hi, no electonics. So few had the manual transfer case (same 231 as most jeeps) even the owners manuals isn't exactly clear on if it's towable flat down.
It also has a solid front passenger axle and not the vacuum controlled one, so it's always engaged(if we think this is pertinent. It's all self contained mechanical, no outside or electronic controls)

I see no reason why not to tow it in neutral transfer and parked trans.
I'll put the transfer case in neutral, the trans in park...then what's the deal?

I have to assume that the older of us might have had an s10 towed.

Any real live;
'I towed a 4wd s10/Jimmy in neutral' info?

My contention is if a jeep can use that transfer case to do it why can't ANY vehicle with that transfer case(unless jeep guys know something I should know)

The s10 sites are worthless.

The Maverick thread is what started my
'Tow the zr2' plan.

I agree with you in that it should be able to be towed in 4WD neutral. Some manual transmissions can not be flat towed due to lubrication problems, but with a transfer case that is N/A. Your AT isn't in the equation either and I can't see how the front axle would be either as it's rolling the same as if it was in 2WD.

I had a 84 S10 4WD 5 speed and towed with it a lot, but never had to tow it.

The blazer has dual hitch receivers, with grade8 and grade5 bolts, bolted to the frame as tow hook receivers.
I'll build mounts to fit the tow-bar into those receivers.
(And I'll wind in that winch cable)

My TJ op manual specifically states manual transmission in 2nd or 3rd gear... auto tranny in Park.

Maybe Chevy was buying S10 transmissions from Chrysler then?? Hmmmm...
