I want to start a new thread about nothing, and let it run...

A few years ago we had weekly posts about that lane assist thing a dealer mounted to windshields.
I haven't read anything in a couple of years.

Did you all just throw them away or did they resolve themselves.

I'm not sure about those but our new SOB motorhome has a lane system. What a pain in the A$$. I have always tried to keep close to the fog line when driving bigger rigs or pulling trailer. This thing will start bitching if you get even close to the line.

I usually have my passenger tires on the inside edge of that line.
I learned to do it back when cars had hood ornaments/ aiming sights.

Wow, both of those posters were neck and neck for the greatest laugh. I would love to be a fly on the wall to watch that guy press that button :whistling:

No project has whipped me in a week. this is uncommon.
I had to order 15 different bolts and fasteners to replenish from this last week's good goings.

Mind you I always read the instructions. Have a tandem bike that we wanted to take with us when towing our fifth wheel. When I was installing a front hitch on my GMC diesel dully, it stated that the bumper, grill, tire, etc. had to be removed to be able to install. I looked at the job, grabbed three extensions for my ratchet, light, and mirror. I removed the impossible bolt and skipped the removal above. Using the same tools above, I was able to put a longer required bolt back in later.

Similar junk instructions on replacing the headlamp on the GMC. Looked at it, loosened a few things, tight but just cleared enough room for the removal and installation of the replacement.

Same with my wife's 2013 Honda CRV alternator replacement. You do not have to remove everything in front including the radiator. With rotating and turning it carefully, it can be replaced in about 35 minuets.

Your talent won. Talent almost always does.
This week-ish my projects went like yours did...easier than expected.

If Chateau will pla print a couple of these(ish) I'll try to cast them in aluminum as meat tenderizers/tire checkers.

This past week has been a hard one. Went camping and had to drive back with the car at 11:30PM to the MedVet ER with our Boston Terrier. We had to put her down at 2AM. That was last Friday. Now I think I finally have found all the things that set my heart into afib. I haven't had this much energy for nearly twenty years. Washed and waxed the RV, out to lunch with the wife, and grocery shopping in one day! It generally would have taken me five days to do my RV. I am finally back to feeling good.

I have the best helper right now.(inspired by the scuba question in another thread).

Welds, woodwork, fabrication, runs a backhoe, works a shovel without complaint.

I had him start all engines and motors on the place including chainsaws.
Without prompt wwrotehe down all their serial numbers and specs along with oil and filter change dates.

Turned three truly chicken-crap chainsaws into one that just WAILS.

We're about to go through the rv nose-to tail with some very wild mods...my last 50 or so mods(probably at least one 12v a/c...maybe two because I can).
Might install my spare qg4000 so as to have 8000a...just to do it.
Hilarity and silly and odd is likely.

I assist him on some jobs and he assists me on some jobs.
