Immobiliser issue

We have a Thor four winds and the battery went flat, we replaced it with a new one and believe the immobiliser security system has activated and now it won’t start.
When we go to start the dash shows the battery light and airbag light and that’s it and it won’t turn over.

The emergency start won’t fire her up either any ideas how to reset or solve the problem.

Have certainly learnt that a solar panel will be fitted to keep it topped up when stationary.
Many thanks

You need to identify the model year and the chassis that your motorhome is built on.

FIRST, make sure the chassis battery is fully charged Then remove the negative battery terminal. Wait at least a half hour. Reconnect and try to start. If no success, DO NOT REPEAT. Contact a local Ford dealer.

That issue is usually associated with chipped keys, and I didn't think E-Series had chipped keys?? Is there a security symbol illuminated on the instrument cluster?

P.S. Didn't you know solar won't work because the sun doesn't shine at night?? J/K... I have 600 watts of solar on my roof which keeps everything charged up. BUT I carry a jump box for emergencies! :)

We have disconnected the battery and left it over night. And still the same.

The only lights that come on the dash when trying to start is an airbag light and battery.

Thanks for posting on the Thor Forum but your problem is associated with the chassis your MH is built on. Without that information, you won't even hit the lucky shot of having someone here with the same chassis that experienced the same issue and solved it. You are much more likely to find a quicker resolution if you present your problem on a support Forum for the chassis you have.

Thank you very much for the advice, we only recently got the rv so it’s all a bit new to us as it was imported into the UK
What have found is the body type is a cutaway
Model econoline
Commercial name and model e450 superduty
I’ll keep looking to see what we can find

So that is the E450 chassis by Ford. Used in most Class C RVs and Thor's Axis and Vegas.

Still need to know the model year in order to determine whether or not it has PATS...

If the chassis is a 2008 or newer and you are experiencing a PATS event, there should be a fast-flashing light in the cluster or dash when the ignition switch is turned from OFF to RUN. If PATS is happy, that light instead will come on for 1-3 seconds and then go off under those same conditions. Also, observe and report what the digital odometer, if equipped, is doing at that same time.

Do provide as much information as you can, it cuts down on the "20 Questions" game.

Pay a guy who knows what is going on and can ask you questions in person or figure it out without you telling him.
It's a commercial Ford.
Approach a Ford commercial mechanics shop.
UNLESS
by immobilizer you mean some aftermarket age old stereo installer bit of kit.
If it is, call any stereo installer.

Not everything nor everyone is DIY suited.

I’m not familiar with the immobilizer system but does it have a remote control and is its battery good. Also look under the dash for a small button , some alarm systems have emergency bypass button that are kinda hidden.
