Hello All,
I have a 2018 Thor Hurricane 34p. We have been parked and on shore power since Dec 5, 2024. We just found out that our inverter has no power, our brand new house batteries are dead. How do I fix this??

An inverter takes your 12 VDC from the batteries and creates 120 VAC for fridges and house outlets in the RV.
A CONVERTER takes 120 VAC from SP or the generator and creates 12+ VDC for the RV's DC loads such as the furnace, lights and water pump AND to charge the house batteries.

So if you have been on SP for over a month and everything in the RV works then the CONVERTER is working.

If you house batteries are dead then you probably had your INVERTER on and your house battery disconnect open, so no power from the converter went to the house batteries and the INVERTER's no load power consumption drained your batteries.

You could have other issues as well that would cause the same symptoms, especially after just installing new batteries if the cables wer not corrected properly or a DC breaker was tripped.,
