Hi guys and girls,
the awning of our Freedom Elite is stubborn.
It does not want to move.
Power is there, the switch is new and sometimes, when I roll it manually with a power drill, it does do what the switch is telling it.
But only one time today.
Is there an end shutoff switch, which shuts it off to prevent the motor from over-torquing?
Maybe this switch is stuck.
Please, any tips or help is very appreciated!!!!
(Also, on the motor side, the arms are really tight to the wall, but the other side on the rear still has maybe 2 inches to go)

Year/Make/Model of RV?
Make/Model of awning?

What's the conclusion of your switch issue?

Too many unknowns.

It is a 2017 Thor Freedom Elite 26HE.
As for the awning, there has been no docs when I bough the RV 3 weeks ago.
Lots of manuals but nothing for the awning.
So, I suppose it is still the original one.
I know it has a power disruptor, when the ignition is on or the engine i running.
Funny things is, I rolled it up with the power drill and it worked after that with the switch.
Since there was a tree in the way to roll it completely out, I started the engine and moved the RV a bit.
After that the awning did not react to the switch any longer.
Maybe this power disruptor is the culprit and gets stuck?
This my first electric awning! So far I had only manual ones.

I'm guessing it's a Solera awning? That's what came on our 2020 24F... no fancy stuff like "armless", no wind sensor... just a basic electric awning.

Mine has a rocker switch just inside the entry door. Press and hold the rocker switch down, the motor runs one direction. Press and hold up, the motor reverses. Really elementary. If I keep holding the switch when fully extended, the awning will start wrapping the other direction.

The only limit switch I know of in ours is when fully retracted against the side wall... and I'm not even certain about that. I just release the switch when it's fully retracted.

It's possible you have a loose connection? A wire may have come loose and makes intermittent contact??

A start might be to post some pics of your awning and give exact details of the brand, etc.

My 2017 Palazzo 33.2 runs same way when it touches coach I release retract and if I don’t stop when fully extended it start rolling up

Problem is solved.
I checked the wiring, switch connections, fuse again, opened the cover for the awning motor. Nothing wrong there, except no power on the middle prongs of the switch.
The culprit was what I thought. . . .
Had a friend holding the rocker switch for the awning down and I jiggled the ignition switch. And here we go. There is some play and you find quickly the point where the awning works.
Pew, big relieve . . .
