Is Water Pump Working???? 2022 Thor Sequence 20L

OP hasn't logged in in almost a year. It's either fixed or sold.
Well, I just posted it in case other's are having issues... I spent quite amount of time researching it to figure it out. I just can't believe Thor installs a valves behind completeley closed off locations without providing an access panel.

Yeah, that's why I changed the title to include the RV of concern, for others that may be searching. It was good info.

You would be surprised what Thor expects in order to simply winterize/de-winterize a RV. Some have to remove the entire outdoor shower in order to access valves, etc.

oh, ok thanks. Yeah I can't say too much good about Thor. I called tech support and they were not only very unhelpful and arrogant, they also are quite ignorant regarding their product knowledge. They told me I probably need to change my waterpump and even more astonishing, I was having troubles with figuring out how to turn my generator on and they walked me through the prescribed trouble shooting tips (which were obvious ones and not helpful) and then told be well it should work. Then I asked are you sure I actually have a generator on my van, their response was Yes, I then said, well if I do where is it located because i don't see any exhause pipe. Later via searching the web, I found a post saying Thor quit installing generators on some models because of sourcing issues during the post covid erra. Go figure, It be nice if they actual gave me a owners manual for my actual model and not for every model they produce. The Thor sequence I have is a 2022 with 2,000 miles and i am amazed of all the things wrong with it and how poorly it was assembled. screws loose, screws missing, leaky valves, cracked propane line, delaminating closet door, Pop up outlet near sink is broken, and the funniest one so far is that the Thule Ladder didn't have the rubber feet installed on it but rather just left in a drawer unopened. Upon figuring out what they were for, I installed them on the ladder and surprise, now I can't close the rear door, LOL.

...how poorly it was assembled...

Was it assembled that poorly before you purchased it, and if so, why'd ya buy it?
Well I bought it unseen through an auction site, it only had less than 2000 miles on it, was owned by an olderly couple that one of them passed shortly after they bought it new. However, initially looking at it, one wouldn't notice all the little items, leaky valves, not working electrical outlets, etc as it was winterized at the time of purchase. Overall, the van is nice, just as you really start diving in to the workings of it, you find so many items that are just cheap quality, design flaws (such as not being able to close the rear door once the ladder is assembled or inaccessible water valves) or just poorly assembled such as door hardware screws loose and/or missing, running board access lights loose, electrical connections under the vehicle not sealed at connectors, etc. I just think this van is one that looks really nice off the lot but as an owner you start to really notice the lack of quality.

"Unseen through an auction site"?? That's scary! Expectations would have to be extremely low and the price even lower. But it's whatever you're comfortable with. I think many on this forum would agree that expectations are very low even when purchased new from a dealer.

As for the ladder, is it a telescoping Thule stored between the wardrobe and the back door? And what are the "feet" you refer to? Is it the magnetic fixation device used to hold it to the van when extended and in use? That device only gets attached when needed, otherwise it is stored. Mine is stored by simply magnetically attaching it to the driver's side door, out of the way and it's used as a makeshift towel bar.

Yeah, I got a decent deal on it and took a chance the auction listing was accurate, but definelty was a bit scary. Regarding the feet on the ladder, I attached some pictures. I circled the "feet" in red. You'll notice I had flip the ladder around to allow the back door to close without hitting the feet, but when I do, then the ladder doesn't seat properly in the support bracket. Well it works, but not designed properly for sure.

oh, and yes mine is stored on the passenger side rear door. the picuture I attached iwth the red circle and arrow pointing is where I am trying to show that I cannot completely shut the rear door with the ladder attached as designed without the feet interferring with the closing. In the picture the rear door is still opened slightly but if I were to closed it more the foot would hit before the door closes

I'd keep those feet in a drawer so they aren't sun damaged and do not interfere with my door closing.

I'd know where they are for the once in a great while that I'll need the adequate, but not perfect, ladder.

Rv life is about compromise.
An rv is a kit.
They lend you the least viable item they can get away with.
It's up to you to find the exact microwave, the exact tv, the exact ladder that makes you happy.

I'm glad they lent me a tv until I researched and found the one I really wanted.
Same with the radio head.
Same with the suspension.
Same with the cheap batteries.

I made it mine instead of the thing presented to me.

The bracket on mine works with about an 1/4" to spare. Simple solution is to bend that leg of the bracket out a hair or throw a few washers behind the bracket where it attaches to the wardrobe. I believe they are 1/4" through bolts.

BTW you probably could remove those feet as suggested if you were to use the magnetic fixation device. It would probably hold the top of the ladder away from the van anyway, avoiding marring it.

true true regarding lending and making it yours. Some good suggestions though, thanks. I like the washer idea to move the bracket out a hair.
