We decided we had to have a Redwood in January. We ordered a 36RE late in the spring and it just arrived at our dealer. The salesman sent us pictures of it when it arrived, and I noticed (as did he) that it did not have a king bed. He has ordered all the parts, including new slide wall panels and has promised it will look better than new. We went to visit it today and, even though it had not been preped by the dealer, after 3 hours of measuring every thing in it and looking for visual problems, it looked ready to go. My wife and I are thrilled with it, and we, especially my wife, were disappointed we weren't bringing it home.

We also needed a new truck to pull it, and that arrived a few weeks ago. However, Reese had not designed rails for the hitch, and just started production on them this week, so the delay in correcting the bed isn't so bad.

We can't wait to get on the road for our first 5-month odyssey and meeting some other Redwood owners.

Congratulations on receiving your new unit. Wishing you many wonderful adventures....and welcome to the family!

I'll mention this just in passing ~ we have a 36RL which is the same from the hall forward. Ours came with the King bed and we really wish we didn't have it. You totally lose the nightstands and it's a real PITA to make the bed. Personal choice, but if it was me, based on experience of living in the coach, I would seriously consider leaving the Queen.
Just my $.02 worth ............

and Congratulations on your new Redwood !! You do realize that we will expect you at next year's Rally ...........

Enjoy it, it's a great coach and a great group of owners.

We wanted the king as I'm 6'6+" tall, and with the king I'll have more room to sleep at an angle so my feet won't hang off the bed. Almost did change my mind, but we decidedwe could overcome the obstacles for my comfort.

We have the 36RL with the king. We like it. There's no nightstand, but we put a little shelf on the wall above the bed. This holds the remotes and my glasses and that's all I need. It's the wife's task to make the bed, and she hasn't complained. The only down side is we replaced the mattress with a select comfort, and the king was more expensive than if we had the queen.

We ordered the slide in a slide with King Bed, and within a few minutes the Rep at the show called and said they don't do it anymore. It was a tough decision - almost 40" of space in front of the Queen with slide in a slide, or cramped space with no slide in a slide with a King.....fortunately the wife decided for me so I didn't have to
