Just spent 2 months RVing on Sigsbee Key West base with a bunch of my military brothers and Sisters. Dry camped the entire time and my power production was so good I even shared some juice to neighbor in a TT so his frig stayed cold!

I fixed one rig breaker issue that ballooned to dozen repairs and training. I got to learn a ecoflow systems and wired up 2 banks to ATS. IT Ran a AC all night, charged via generator during day. Was paid in lots of beer and happy hour dinners!

Took out 6 teams on offshore fishing trips and caught 100lb plus in critter groceries. Had a bunch of fish frys!

Bought couple stone crab pots off marketplace and bagged a total of 47 claws! 7lbs. 50 dollars a lb in market.

If you are a vet, KW navy base camping rocks! This was our 19th trip there! Heading to the villages as I type to check on family and feed then fresh seafood! Back in NC beginning of March. Next adventure is 3 months to New England.

Figure it would post something besides broke stuff!

Cheers

Sounds like you had a great time!

Question for you... You mentioned "vet". Does access to the camping facility extend to any vet or only to retirees? I fall into the first category.

I have Retired ID, Dependent ID and VA ID, any of those gets you on military installations and use recreational servives, exchange/commissary, gyms, etc
I RV with bunch a vets that didn't retire.
Our current president made that happen his last run.

In Key West u can get passes for family and friends so they can come and go without you having to be with them.
Ted posted address. They also have hotel and townhouses u can rent.

Some bases will give u pass with your DD214 and couple real IDs

If you served and never filed claim, it's super easy. Never met a vet without some type of issues. All you need is 10 percent rating to get VA ID and opens you up to amazing rv parks!
If you need VA claim paperwork and fax number, shoot me a message. I have help 100'S and don't charge squat!

We were there 1/21-1/30. I remember seeing your rig and that custom flag pole! We also drove from there to The Villages. We live there in the winter. If we go to Key West next winter I will look for you.
