Kingston KF33SK08 is new but we were inspecting the caulking and noticed that on the pin end, most all the transition trim (upper and lower) caulking has separated and needs to be recaulked. We only noticed this when we pressed on side material and on the underneath material the sides and bottom separated, has anyone else experance this type of problem?

I don't know if I explaned this correctly

Glad you posted. My KF33SK10 is only 1 month old and I had to re-caulk that trim also. The trim I'm talking about is the stuff that covers the transition from the front cap to the main body. It had seperated about 1/8" on the front edge so driving down the road any moisture at all would collect behind the trim.

Calliopeguy, the re-caulking you have done is the same thing I am talking about.

I noticethewind does effectthe us with this larger unit more than with the previous unit.

My dealer said the Trim was not properly attached to anything of substance, so they re-attached it (the orignal dealer I bought from re-caulked but that did not last very long).

I have practally re-caulked my entire unit.

Dealer would not do anything with the caulking under warranty, and said that it is maintanence item and I would have to pay labor rate per hour plus the caulking.
