Has anyone replaced the led lights under the headlights on the 2015 Axis 24.1?

I would appreciate any information you might be able to give me on this removing and replacing these lights. Was quoted a repair price of $500 or more depending on part costs by my RV shop. I'm not very mechanical but these high prices and poor performance coming out of my RV shop are really motivating me to learn.

Is this something that a person of limited mechanical ability should attempt?

If you replaced yours where did you purchase the replacement and any other info would be a great help.

Pictures would be helpful. Are you referring to the LED decorative lights. If so, yes easy to replace, Thor has them $20. Please send photo.

LED's

Thanks so much. As is pretty usual, the Axis is in the shop right now but I think you probably are right that it's decorative led lights. I'll send photo when I get it back and mean time I'll try and contact THOR.

Thanks

:)The part number for these two led strips is 0300679 for each.
Thor was charging $25.77 for these which they have to order from another vendor. Aprox. two week expectation to deliver.

Anyone else dealing with this issue, the above was things I had to check into, so it might be of help to you.

Yes that's exactly it. How do you get the chrome headlight covers off. Are they attached or are they just tight fitting pop offs?

I actually was able to remove the one on the left just by jiggling the chrome cover around and found the wires that it was attached to. Unfortunately when I attached the new leads it appears that the wires are not getting any current. Turned on the lights and all the others worked?

So if anyone can tell me how to get the chrome covers off without breaking them I'm going to continue with this myself.
Any insight on why the new ones attached as the old ones had been did not work would also be helpful.

There are very obvious long bolts extending from the back of the covers through the fiberglas and into the wheelwell on a 2018. Take the nuts off, remove plastic chrome bezel.
