Levelling system trouble

Lippert on my Hurricane powers up, then starts to run through and then shuts off.

Thoughts?

Which Lippert leveling system do you have? Mine is Level Up. When I start the engine, the panel lights run thru a pattern and then go off. In order to get the system to work I have to turn the on button on, on the panel. Is this how yours works?

Mine will only work if the engine is running otherwise it says low voltage

What does "starts to run through" mean?

Mine is the level up system- after I turn it on, it starts to auto level, then when it states it is grounding the first jack- shuts off and reboots.

Two possible problems - First - low fluid in reservoir. Second - Jack will not ground before the end of the stroke. If the max pressure sensor trips (3,000 psi) before the grounding pressure sensor trips (300 psi); the coach is on ground that is too un-level for the system to work properly. You might try manual level; sometimes you can get close.
System limits are 3.5 degrees - side to side and front to back.

Hey Beau,

thanks for the response, but it’s an electrical issue as none of the jacks even move before it shuts down so it’s either electric or electronic.

There is no hydraulic movement at all. The screen says it is getting ready to ground Jack and then lights go out.. I’m going to go out and trace the wires now, hopefully just a bad ground but maybe have to replace the wire harness as stated on lipperts website.

I will let you know what a Discover, so you can fix yours when it breaks!

You might check the CB in the compartment where the HYD system is located. Mine has a large RED button and a YELLOW reset.

House batteries were too dead

Huh!

Just a follow up.

Simple reason why the jack system shut off intermittently was the house batteries were too dead! Even though it registered 13.9 volts when turned on - not enough juice.

Two new batteries and works perfectly!

Exactly why many of the operating jacks' directions include engine running

And a bad battery can skewer that
