Light switch question

In my Thor Windsport 34F I have two rocker style light switches for the main cabin area lights. One is on a panel in the entry way, one is back by the bedroom. They work like a 3 way switch where either switch can control the lights regardless of the opposite switch's position. My question is, does anyone know if these are truly 3 way switches? Or are the 2 way switches that work off of a relay somewhere?

Reason I am asking is because the entry way switch is basically impossible to find if you are entering the coach at dusk or in the dark. I want to replace it with an illuminated rocker switch. But I cannot find a 12v DPDT illuminated rocker switch anywhere.

There's no such thing as a "3 way switch" - the 3 way effect is in the wiring. It's easy to make a SPST lighted switch, not so much for a DPDT switch.

None of the switches near our entryway are lighted so I installed a small blue LED over them with a push button on/off switch for it which we turn on as we leave the RV and expect to return after dark. Works for the awning and porch light/awning light switches as well.

My Hurricane has two panels of switches at the front door. Both panels are in the dark after hours. I just memorized which function each switch controls.

I stuck a small foam button (used to cushion kitchen drawers & doors from banging shut) to the light switch at the entry door. Easy to find in the dark.

From Eaton Electronics website

"A "3-way switch", also known as a DPDT switch, is an electrical device that allows you to control a single light fixture from two different locations, typically used in situations like the top and bottom of a staircase or either end of a long hallway, where you need to turn the light on or off from multiple points; it's called "3-way" because it has three terminals inside the switch to facilitate this connection between the two switch locations"

As for memorizing what switch does what, I get it. This isn't so much for me as it is for the wife. She is blind in the dark

I would use one of these motion activated night lights near the switches. Your hand would activate the light.
