Hi
I have a problem on my 2018 sunset trail 254rb. Centre lights are not working in the trailer. Initially both the lighting over the sink , the stove fan and the center lighting in the trailer didn’t work. The lighting over the sink and the stove fan are now working. There is no power at the master light switch in the convenience center. I need a wiring diagram for this trailer. I am an experienced automotive service technician so yes I have checked all the fuses and confirmed output at all the fuse box wiring connections. I believe there may be a power junction on that over the fridge that could be my problem . Wiring diagram could confirm this.
Thanks Tom

Unfortunately there are no wiring diagrams available. They are wired by whoever is working on installing wiring that day. Each working does it different.
Sometimes, under the slide is a junction box that can collect water. I would check that out and weatherproof it after you dry it it.
Good luck.

The wiring for the lights I am referring to routes on the right side of the trailer opposite the slide. I believe there may be a junction over the fridge. No access to that compartment I can see. Think the wiring routes on the edge of the roof over the kitchen storage over the outer door and routes through the bedroom bulkhead to the convenience center. I think the lights I have a problem with use the same circuit as the over sink and stove fan. When I initially had the problem that light and the stove fan also didn’t work but they work ok now. Does anyone know of a way to access over the fridge without cutting holes in cupboard interior walls.

I have found in the past campers one thing feeds another. If you suspect that the lights are indeed on the same leg as the lights I would go to where you do have power and pull that light or stove fan/light to see if the wire going on from there may have came apart. I have had that problem in the past. This may not be your problem but it may give you a place to start.

I had the microwave out and can see the wires for the sink light and fan feed it comes out of the chamber above the fridge. That’s where I think the problem is.

I wonder if you took the light fixtures out of the ceiling and you could trace the wires until you find where the original power wire comes in. That would give you an indication on which direction to look from there.

I have a 25RB and the switch that controls all the center lights is in the command center panel by the door. This would also be a good place to look. You would have to take that panel off and check for a faulty wire or even the switch. There are a whole mess of wires behind the panel and it is not a pretty site. But, you being an electrician will be able to figure these out.

Power comes from the converter to the command panel to the switch to the lights. There is a fault along there somewhere and hopefully it is not a broken wire in the ceiling.

Good luck and let us know how you made out.

And, NO there is no diagram for the wiring. Its a national secret.

You might want to try this cable tracker. It puts a signal on the wire then it can be tracked with the receiver. From experience it works well. Go to harborfreight.com and search cable tracker. Can't beat the price.
