Lithium upgrade

16Ace, they come in 1 , 2, 4, Hay. don't get anything but the EWE the black relay ! the others have a funky power off power reapplied function. I have done a lot of research on these relays and I have had a ton of fun.. I just recently learned how to incorporate siri to it.

Just show link.
'Pictures or it didn't happen' defense.

Let's see an alternator the size of a Ford e450 unit, on a vehicle, crap out due to reasonable (we'll say 600ah. Thats about 1:100,000 rv)lithium requests for charge.

The oft referred to vid is a tired, less than 60a alternator with no airflow. A determined to be
Less than adequate alternator.
But
Are our alternators not up to the task?

I got the 4 banger, I think the other uses will be for the main lights and the rear and passenger side camping setup lights. I also got the Echo Show 5 for the RV. Now to set it all up. The weather looks great this weekend.

Hope you got the ewelink on that 4 banger. After you get them setup in the ewelink app dig around in the app and find how you link to alexa. it's an easy setup and it will become addictive, thinking of all the things you can control. It bit me bad as I now have near 40 items controlled with alexa. If you need any help, let me know..

I'm at 84 echo (Alexa's system. Alexa is the voice, echo is the system)controlled devices. Fans, lights, 1500w heaters, electric blankets, fireplaces, gates, cameras, waterleak sensors, sprinklers, ball valves, pumps...

Before alexa I used x10 since their inception in probably the late 1970's(?).

X10 is still a very viable way to put a switch in a remote place without wiring. They are self sustained units and had nothing to do with internet or wifi or Bluetooth. They made a web and kept it to themselves by transmitting over your existing house wiring.
They were perfect for pool lights and other outside stuff.

I just one day quit using them(they were programmable by a computer and I almost never use anything but my phone since the old treo 600 days)and gave away about 20lbs of the stuff.
I haven't kept up with them in about 15 years. Maybe they're echo(alexa)compatable now.

I did. Got it installed last week along with ab Echo Show 5. I wired channel 1 to the "Trombetta" control power and channel 2 to the cat's water bowl to drain a bowlful a day so she always has fresh water from the supply jug (picky cats). I haven't decided on channels 3 and 4 yet. I'd like to connect the main cabin lights to one, but they use a 3-way switch, so I'd have to use the channel to trigger a DPDT latching relay. Channel 4 may go to my add-on LFP charger.

A tip about Echo

Your install looks nice.. I learned a little trick about Echo being hard of hearing. A buddy said sometimes they get a little confused recognizing your voice and you tend to repeat or even yell out the command to do something. He told me to say,, "Echo, Delete everything I have ever said" Echo will respond by saying "if I do that, I will have trouble understanding" or something like that. Just respond by saying "YES" I have found that after doing that, Echo responds to me better and even when I say a command at a low voice.
Have you learned how to program Siri into your relays ? That took me a while to get right. Programing the relays menu is confusing to me but in time I found out how. It's nice not having to fumble with your alexa program on your phone to turn on outside lights when your in the dark. I made a command to turn on the patio and the front door awning lights by saying "hey Siri, it's dark out here". My next project is extending and retracting the awnings. Incorporate them into the rapid camp system to work on voice command.

I'll try the clearing technique . Thanks.
She has seemed to be ignoring me of late.
I think it used to work far better at voice than it does now.
And
A unit answering from 50ft away, with three of them closer, has become a norm.
My new dot is the worst of the bunch.
My half dot(or whatever the discount one is called) almost always answers correctly.
My old one, the discontinued flat one you have to use outside speakers with...is flawless.

Many of my units in my shop are hidden away in something that used to make sound.
I can tell any of my old radio conversions to play any era's music.
(Simple folk are flabbergasted about how a 1943 radio is playing the 1943 top 100).
The first radio is the only one you can see the echo light ring.

The phone has stereo speakers in the handset. That was a giant pita.

My old echo auto, so old it was the 'waiting list' model totally sucked.
I see no reason for the thing when a real echo works in a rv.
