Hi everyone, I have a 2024 Freedom Traveler and it is equipped with a macerator pump on the black tank. There is a switch in the wet bay and one in the bathroom. I've never had a macerator before and I'm wondering how to use it effectively. I would assume it helps empty the tank which is why the switch is in the wet bay. But why is there a switch in the bathroom? Are you supposed to run the pump after using the bathroom? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

What Year/Model RV?
Do you have a macerator pump? Or a macerator toilet? Or both?

It’s a 2024 Freedom Traveler. It’s a macerator pump, not a toilet. I verified it on the schematics that it was just a regular toilet.

We were told to use the switch in the bathroom when we flush the toilet. Out toilet is on the opposite side of the black tank & we think it is to help the waste may the transit.
