With the new Redwood on its way does anyone recommend a good
wax for the body paint? As big as this thing is and as much as the full body
paint cost I don’t want to be waxing very often so I would rather use something
that is going to last a bit. Also they are calling the roof an Alpha Ply
Roofing witch is new to me I just know about the rubber roof and what you
should do for it. Does anyone know about this Alpha Ply roof?

At the Ft Worth RV show a couple of Weeks ago, I was told just use soap and water on the roof. He did not say what type of soap.

The common soap to use is Regular Dawn Dish soap. Works well to get grease off, yet mild enough to use on animals (was used to cleanup oil soaked animals from the BP spill). Just make sure it's the reg unsented kind. You don't want to use citrus unless you want to attract birds.

Another soap that was recommended by my dealer, and you often see recommened on RV sites, is Murphy's Oil Soap. I used it on my other trailer and it worked quite well. One of the key things to do when you wash your roof is to keep the sides of the RV wet and don't let the soap and dirt from the roof dry on the sides of the RV as it will streak. You don't want to use a strong soap or one of thosechemical cleaners thatare made forcleaning RV roofs either as theywill strip the wax off the sides of the RV.

Thanks all for the info on the wax & roof care, not that
I am ready to start waxing or anything just excited about getting this unit. I
have been camping ever scents the teenager days back in a tent all the way thru
pop ups to 6 different TT’s </span>with the
last one a </span>34ft Montana but this is my
first 5th wheel .Of all the different campers I think this one has everything
I wanted in one so I want to take care of it. I had been looking for a little
over two years with everything leaning towards the Landmark Grand Canyon, but I
took one last hard look with h2oman at the Redwood that day as we spent 4 or 5
hours at our dealer and then we both walked away leaving deposits on them.
