Michelin's or G614's

They only told me that I was ahead of you

No really they said that I should be able to go to the factory about the last week of March and see it on the line. Then I should get it with-in the first 2 weeks of April.

I'll pay extra to be first who do I need to bribe?

who gave the time frame your dealer or the factory? If it was the factory who did you talk to? And just what was the date you ordered anyway?

I ordered ours on Jan. 27th but it wasn't placed to the factory until the 30th. At that time they were saying around the 2nd week of March but that all changed. I talked the the dealer and the factory rep and it was the rep who said mine should be on the line the last week of March or theres abouts. This will give mine a build time of about 10 weeks.

I'm suposed to call them the first week of March for an update.

We ordered ours on the 11th the order was placed on the 13th and we were told the last week of march for delivery. After reading all of the different posts on here it sounds like it could be the last week of april, that will make for a scheduling nightmare but we will deal with it it's worth it.

I'm sure they'll bump up their work force to deal with the demand of a great product. Your's might be done about the same time as mine.

That would be nice maybe we could tour the factory together if both of ours our the line at same time.

I'll call Andy (factory rep) late next week and see if he knows for sure when mine will be on line so I can go over there. I'll let you know what I find out.

Someone posted that the wheels for E and G tires are the same.....Allen Wesdorf at RW factory assured me thee wheels aree also upgrade and steel high pressure valve stems are used...he also sent me a Goodyear website that says they better or you are going to have problems

I wish Andy would make up his mind he told my dealer that the wheels are the same they just use different valve stem.

well "you" should care, the rims, HAVE TO be rated for the HIGHER pressure and they are marked for max pressure

check into it

FJKiss,

How are the rims typically marked relative to the the maximum pressure rating? I checkedthe rims on my 36RL during the winter and could not see any markings other than a label that I could not read. I am thinking about dismounting one of the wheels so I can inspect the rim closer.

I've seen other rims that were stamped with fine print (on steal wheels). Since these are aluminum it might be stamped on the inside of the wheel so you'd have to demount the tire to see it. Try dropping your spare tire and inspecting it because it too would have to be designed for the extra weight.

While you have the spare dropped you can lube up the cable and crank because most people usually don't do this enough and wish the hell they had when they have a flat tire.

This is good info. Did Andy give you any info specific to the rims used with the g614's?
