In looking at the forecast for the Midwest, it looks like they're predicting a mild winter for us. Less than normal snow and warmer climate. That's going to be good for RVs but not so good for the farmers.

We've already gotten enough snow to excite the grand kids and it quickly melted away. Now I hope it stays warmer for us older folks.

Missoula MT is getting hammered by snow.. and today Pocatello ID winds up to 70 mph while in Wyoming just little 45 mph

here is my forecast Dave....

This Florida girl is soaking up the lack of snow and temps in the mid-40's and 50's. I think all of my prayers for it to STOP snowing last winter just carried over....

*knock on wood* :hide:

I'm with Christian..I'll take this any day over snow, ice and wind yuck....especially when you have to be on the road at 6:30 in the morning and home after dark every night.

El Nino, cooler in the west, wetter in the central states, & warmer drier in the east. We'll see if the meteorologist know what they are talking about, so far I think it's cooler than normal here in the west.

Here in victoria BC we are having another very warm winter, breaking records, however we have had enough wind and rain to last me for awhile. Ski hills are doing good, I rather have rain then snow wiper blades are cheaper than snow tires :)

Dan...does it ever really get cold for you guys up there?

It was 74* in Nashville Tennessee yesterday. I am still running around in a T shirt. Sorry to hear about how cold it has been for everyone else.

Where we live it's usally in the low 40's BUT every few years we get a freak downdraft from the mountains and get some snow, it doesn't last. Funny watching all the "smart" cars sitting there spinning. The city of Victoria had a snow plow but they sold it a few years ago. Victoria is just west of Seattle and due to the position of the different mountain ranges we actually get less rain than Seattle. We use to live in Halifax Nova Scotia and due to the warm currents of the atlantic ocean coming up from Florida, we didn't get very much cold and snow more freezing rain. I always considered myself as a coastee, east or west just 10 days of bad driving in between.
My daughter lives in Edmonton Alberta and it pretty darn cold there
