For me, the two times I had to buy tires for an RV I just went to Discount Tire and bought whatever commercial highway tire was the cheapest.

Correct in buying commercial grade tires, ie: light truck type or better (heavy duty). By that I am talking about at least 10 ply tires! The weight of a motor home and it’s contents should be considered when buying tires! Buying just any old tire because your buddy recommended it is an accident waiting to happen!!

Lwmcguir, all the power tool companies are owned by Stanley but they all still operate on their own with all the profits going to Stanley, Michelin is no different, they had a good product years ago and cut costs and quality went in the toilet, just like a lot of business today who put the upper manangments bonus ahead of quality.

My Michelin tires on several vehicles are performing as expected

My F350 came with Michelin tires that ran 70k plus

My experience with several hundred tires has been excellent

Friend has a fleet with nothing but Michelin on the steering axle

So are all the other tires Michelin prodces bad also?

I totally disagree with you based on facts

Escape came with Continental tires

Very hard rubber and spun easily if you gave it a bit of throttle

Overall they are decent tires

My F150 came with Goodyear Kevlar they were still good at 80k

So there are a lot of good tires out there

Some not so good as well

So true starting with proper size, service type, load rating and on to tread, warranty ect

X2… though a brand that I have always had good luck with Toyo’s

For a Class C the best is the Nexen Roadian CT8 HT. It is superior because it has a much better load rating (CT8 > E) than others like Michelin in the E450 size. With respect to Michelin, they are maybe the worst tires I ever had on my C when I had a C. Recalls, blowouts, lumps and checked sidewalls were all too common. I think their Defender LTX is a good tire on a vehicle that gets used but not on one that spends most of its time parked.
