I cannot crank my Thor hurricane 2000 model. The switch is not changing over my converter went bad. How do I reset and where?

It is all but impossible to gather any meaning from your post.
Rewrite it so we know how you're relating a converter to whatever isnt turning over in your rv and what switch you think isn't working.

Have you done anything diagnostic?
Do you own the required tools?
If told how, do you have the wherewithal?
Are you in an rv community where a handy person might take a look?
Are you alongside the road broken down?
Is the rv new to you?

Assumptions:

"cannot crank my Thor hurricane 2000 model" = chassis engine does not try to start.
"the switch" = chassis battery disconnect if you have one EDIT: He means the emergency start switch, see below.

"converter" has nothing to do with the chassis battery or engine
"reset" what?

Have you put a voltmeter on the chassis battery to measure its voltage?
Have you verified you are in PARK?
Have you tried it in NEUTRAL?
Do you have any indications on the dash when you turn the ignition key?

Switch on the headlights. Do they work? If so, the battery works. If not the battery is dead.

If the headlights work, turn the key to 'start'. Do the headlights stay bright or go all the way to off/nearly off? If they stay bright there is a fault in the starting circuit. Be sure the transmission is in Park or Neutral. (the link from the gearshift to the transmission can become loose or disconnected so it may not actually be in Park), If the headlights go very dim/nearly off the battery is probably discharged.

Comment from the OP's profile:

I have a 2004 hurricane, my problem started with my converter burning up, 110 to 12 V. I hoped a battery charger to the lines to see if I could get some power cause I lost all control lights water heater refrigerator also, my disconnect switch is not working and I cannot fire up the motorhome itself from the driver seat, the battery charger would not work. I have a separate battery bank. I finally ran it to the wires and got my 12 V to work again, but now the switch inside the front door which normally lets me crank the motorhome is not coming on it’s not the light is not green , no power in the driver seat I am hooked to a External generator because my generator also went out earlier before this problem I’m trying to find out how I restore power to the driver seat the ignition I have a Ford V 10 motor. Maybe you can understand this a little better. Thanks for any help you can give.

So it sounds like all batteries are dead - that's why switches and generators, etc don't work.

You need to charge your batteries from an external charger. That is both the chassis battery and the house battery bank.

You can jump the main engine just like a car and get that running and then just put a charger on the house batteries. The engine will charge the chassis battery if it is any good. It may also charge the house batteries if something else is not broken and you charge or jump the house batteries for 5 to 10 minutes (if they are not bad).

Then you need to get on the troubleshoot and repair wagon.
Get a multimeter and learn how to use it (try YouTube University)

Ask specific questions here but provide as much information as you can. Your first post was sincerely lacking in useful information. Remember, we can't see what you're seeing and we can't read minds. Explain it to us like we're 3 year olds.

Once terminally dead (fully discharged and especially if left in a discharged state for too long) the normal 12V battery (aka Lead Acid) may never recover and be able to take & hold a charge.

If you replace the batteries you must also diagnose why they all died. Unless you inadvertently left electrical items 'on' there is likely some other fault killing the batteries. I'd suggest hiring an RV technician to get a proper diagnosis.

Scared how?
By asking her for information you'd expect?
She didn't come back, didn't answer a single question.
Perhaps it isn't an emergency as most of us had to guess at.

Looks like another new poster was scared away.

Can't be scared away if you don't return to the thread to read any responses.

He posted his post.
Then wrote the comment on his profile
Then left the building.

Maybe he'll find his way back tomorrow. Maybe not.

Thank you for your response. The hurricane motorhome is new to me. I guess what I was asking was is there some switch or button to reset the system water leak got into electrical plug I am assuming that is what messed up my converter before that was working well there is a switch inside the door That you must hit to crank the vehicle it is no longer lit up or working. I saw where some people went to the so annoyed and hit a button and it worked. I have not seen one on my hurricane. I have a voltmeter and I know how to use it , batteries are charged absolutely nothing is happening at the ignition and yes, it is in park. I put a battery charger in place of the converter. I got some of my control back such as carbon monoxide alarm refrigerator and water heater still would not work. I have a separate battery bank With solar and charger, I hooked it to the lines where the converter was and gained refrigerator and water heater still no light on switch at door. The red light is on and I have some lights. Also the first button which is a green light still is not coming on and will not , send to front to start that is why I was asking if there is some reset button or switch or anything that will restore power to the cab. I have checked fuses. Fuses were fine. Cranking battery is fully charged auxiliary batteries down some I have sent replaced converter no 12 V power available.

Thanks for your response. I have absolutely no power for the cab. The battery is fully charged.

I'm no automotive/RV electrical expert. At this point I'd suggest hiring a mobile RV repair technician to go over your whole rig and get everything operating properly. Trying to diagnose & give repair advice over the internets is not easy. Too many variables - especially with an RV that may have had previous repairs &/or alterations.
