Hi, Folks !!
Just returned from Lloyd Bridges Traveland in Chelsea, Mi towing our new Carriage 40RL. Such a beautiful 5th wheel. I think from the pictures, you can see the Redwood heritage. I don't have interior photos yet, but it is very nice inside with residential style fridge, etc. The layout is essentially the same as a Redwood 38rl.

Wow! That's nice! Welcome to the forum. Is that the only one made so far?

It truly looks like it's 95% Redwood with the materials used on the outside.

WOW that looks like our 38RL with different paint! :) Beautiful. I hope it's amazing for you!

Yes, it certainly has a "Redwood" look to it! We saw it at the recent RV Show in Novi, Mi. We had a Jayco Pinnacle, with a FL that my wife wasn't crazy about. When we saw this unit, we loved it. I'll get some inside pic's, but the woodwork is beautiful as well. It already has a residential fridge, we added an Onan genset. It pulled nice behind my Ram 3500.

Crossroads or Redwood?

At the show in Novi, I spoke with a Crossroads facory rep. I asked, if this was a Redwood Carriage and he said it was a stand alone brand. But in the manual bag was booklet from Redwood. I think it is so new, no one knows for sure. My unit does have the Link system for operating many of the systems through the included tablet.

Right now I am trying to get an answer from Crossroads, because the factory rep mentioned several times that the Carriage had H rated 17.5 tires. This one was delivered with G-rated 16's (not Goodyear).

So is it priced similarly to a Redwood? Note: not asking for specific pricing so that I don't break any rules, just curious if it's $5-$10K ballpark pricing within a similarly equipped Redwood?

Look at sticker on the side that will tell you for sure. Mine said G at 110 psi but it had E's on it.call the dealer and crossroads shipped me 5 GY G 614's and told me to keep the E's

The 5 they sent where mounted and have nitrogen in them.

Ok, thanks. I will keep talking to them. The factory rep did tell the dealer they would get it worked out.

The MSRP was somewhere around $126,000. Of course, it was discounted for the RV Show. It does have a power cable reel, which is nice.

I will check to see what tire/inflation is indicated on the placard.

Can anyone tell me where the main water filer canister might be located. I have a filter and wrench, but as of yet, haven't found the housing. Also, does the inverter for the refrigerator normally have it's own battery for a total of three? Or is that an option? So far, I have only found two batteries.

Well, Thanks for your help!

Fred

2014 36FL water filter housing is in the side compartment, there is a small door at the back .( you have to crawl back there)

Ok, they showed me the small access door in the basement, I'll crawl up in there tomorrow and see. Thanks

Fred

We traded our Jayco Pinnacle LKTS for our Redwood FL, sure hope we made a good move.
So far so good, only time will tell :)
