New 36RL ready for pickup tomorrow

Thanks all! We brought Red home yesterday and moved back in. Still organizing but this is really a beautiful rig. Lots of tours given yesterday here at the campground.

Any RL owner found a good solution for the bathroom door knob hitting the shower? Going to look tomorrow for something to cushion either the knob (actually a lever) or the shower itself.

There is a device that you can get a a hardware or home improvement store that attaches to the bottom of the door that will only let it swing open so far before it contacts the door jamb. Sorry I don't know what it is called but we have one on our pantry door.

Our 36RL came from the factory with a small bumper on the shower door where the handle of the bathroom door would hit it. The bumper is about 1/2 inch in diameter and 1/4 inch thick and has an adhesive back to it where it attaches to the shower door. I would think that you could pick up something like it at any hardware store.

That's what I'll look for. Also some of the little round ones too for some of thecabinet doors. Also found if you let the rightdoorof the doublefrigswing open it hits the edge of the stair banister. And the handle on the door to the medicine cabinet seems to hit the wall kinda hard. Guesswe need to be more gentle!!!

Forgot to mention we really are pleased with our dealer ExploreUSA in Denton, TX and our salesman Mike Santos. Also was very pleased with the service technician James who did our PDI. We ordered at the Dallas RV show last week in February and it was delivered to dealer April 16 (we did not order the full body paint) so about6 weeks from order to delivery.......

I found that the 1/2 inch clear rubber adhesive bumpers (home depot cabinet department) worked well for us.We placed a few on the toilet so the bathroom door is protected also placed a few on the refer door to protect the storage cabinet perpindicular to the refer and adjacent to stairs going to the living room. We have a 36fL model redwood

We have noticed a few places as well that could use some protection, we will be placing some of those protective bumpers in some places and some door stops in others.

We are excited. If all works out well, we will be dropping off our Everest and picking up our 36RL on Monday. Can't wait! Now we'll be members of the club.

Congradulations though now that you have one to just sit in and soak it all up. Where are you guys located and what dealer did you get your unit from? Have fun!Edited by: John317

Congratulations on your purchase and I hope you have many Happy Trails.

Congrats on the arrival of your new baby! I know you're going to love your new Redwood as much as we love ours. We are still excited about ours even after 5 months of full time use.

We are in the San Francisco Bay area and bought ours from Toscano RV in Los Banos.

Awesome, another "Westy". We are growing! I am up the road from you in Redding and we have several more that I know of in the Sacramento area one in Reno and one in Victoria BC and one in Alberta. Keep us posted on your new adventure.

Been six weeks since we ordered our 36RL (April 14th) so I fired off an email to the dealer, Camping In Style in Brooklyn, ON, Canada.
Dealer then fired off an email to Andy (Redwood) and got back the reply ... came off production line ... today!
Just waiting for ship date to Canada and dealer prep and then ... PICKUP!

Can't wait!

It seems that we have been waiting for a very long time. Sorta like waiting for your number to be called at a Chinese auction. Whew! Congratulations on you new arrival.

Brought our unit home. I am impressed by all of the storage space inside. Took it back for some warranty work and for some items we ordered. Toscano in Los Banos has been fabulous. Love our new unit and can't wait for our first weekend trip in July.
