Hello all. Just picked up a used (6k miles) 2023 Thor Magnitude BT36.

The manual has a lot to be desired and is very general. Is there any way to get more detailed manuals for the system? It has the F600 chasis.

Just in the trip home I found 4 issues that were not in the manual.

1) How does the dual fuel tank work? I was able to find info on another thread (thank you) that explains that the front tank drains to 3/4 then the rear fills it until empty.

2) The front tank does not seem to want to take fuel. You have to fuel extremely slowly and let the fuel slowly run into the tank. Is this normal?

3) There is a red indicator lamp on the top of the dash (above the AC vent) that goes solid red when the brake is applied hard or the trailer brake controller is activated. What is this for in general?

4) The truck is limited to 76mph. At 75 when trying to accelerate to get past a semi that was slowing and chaning into my lane I had ZERO throttle and had to almost slam on the brakes to avoid the collision where accelerating would have been the safer approach. I did not see anyway to change/disable this in the F600 menu.

I am sure I will have more and look forward to getting and providing help as I learn more.

Welcome.

Item 2 do a forum search on slow fuel fill. Many folks found kinked rubber fuel fill lines.

Item 3 could be a supplemental brake monitor indicator installed by the previous owners for use with TOAD or trailer brakes. If not see below.

The remaining items are Ford related so you might want to check out the Ford truck forums.

Thanks. I did see those, but I will post a picture of mine. The rear and the front look completely different when you look in the fill tube.

You nailed it. Looked that up and that is exactly the indicator. Thank you.

I was not sure what integration Thor has with the ford chassis and cab. Was not sure if they develop a special firmware to allow for customizations or if it is just a normal F600 and they just hotwire everything to it at the Thor factory?

I also was able to signup for the Thor owner site. Much better. Surprised the dealer didn't tell me about this. It has all the supplemental manuals for the cameras, rearview monitor, solar, etc etc.

Have more reading to do now - hopefully there is a full electrical integration diagram to see how they wired everything.

Congrats and Welcome to the Family

Hey Team Welcome to the party. We started with SV34 and loved it and traded up earlier in the year for a 24 BT36. We love this coach and floor plan. Primarily it is my wife and I and our 2 little furry friends Harley and Baily both Shelties. we have made a few mods to our rig and have a few questions like yours along the way. I really am a huge fan of the F600 platform and chassis.
The magnitude is amazing ( not without its flaws like any coach) but it is great for us. Enjoy the new Rig. BTW if your coach is less than one year old from date of original purpose you and register under Thor warranty. Regardless of that you can register on Thors Owner site and they will provide all the detailed schematics for your rig and options etc all based on the serial number.. Its a great resource.. it also includes videos and quick start guide s it is very very helpful.
