Greeting everybody,

I am putting in a New Fogartti 8 Pro tankless water heater in my 2023 291RK and I can't figure out the wiring. The New heater comes with black and white wires (plus the 2 blues for the remote) and my RV has 4, pink, white, orange, and brown. Can anybody tell me how this hooks up? I currently have the brown connected to the black and the white to the white and I am not getting anything even my meter panel has gone dark for all the gauges and the gas and electric switches. what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help,
Rob

Rob, if I'm not mistaken the 4 wires are pos., neg., ground and a switch leg. You need to remove all wires you connected. Now make sure everything else works correctly again. Then get a multi meter. Strip the 4 wires but don't let them touch each other. Find a ground source and connect the black lead from the multi meter to it. Make sure the hot water power switch is on and take the red lead and touch each of the 4 wire ends. One should have battery voltage on it. Make sure the meter needs to be set for DC volts. When you find the hot wire market. Turn the power switch off and confirm you lost power. On mine I found the orange to be the positive, so connect the orange to the black from the Fogartt i unit. On mine I found the brown to be the negative, so connect the brown to the Fogartti's white wire. The pink wire, tape and wirenut off. Don't use.Do the same with the white coming from the camper. Not used. The two blue wires coming from the Fogartti get connected to the Fogartti controller. Mine has been working great sense installed 3 months ago. Rich
