Hello All,
I just got home earlier today from the Portland, OR RV Show.
I have been looking for an RV for the last 6-7 months.
I started off looking at travel trailers thinking it would be fun for me and my gf to take off on the weekends and maybe bring the nieces along for fun. My dad took me out hunting and camping all the time and I really miss the fun of RV'ing
I got very close to buying a Laredo 314RL travel trailer a few months back and while I showed up to take a final look before purchasing it another sales guy showed me the 381FL, and 379FL Fifth Wheels from a few different brands.
Total game changer! I loved all the extra storage as well as the options of washer and dryer and a dishwasher. I started thinking full time living......
However, I was a little leary of the quality of one of the brands. On the 381FL The microwave was mounted from the factory too tight to the left side so the door wouldn't open all the way. This is on more than 1 unit it they had the same problem!! How could this happen if they are inspecting these at the factory?
Answer: They are not!
The other thing was the 381 had a central vacuum. The 379 had the dishwasher. Neither had both. I wanted all of it in one package. So I kept looking.
Today my RV sales friend calls me and gave me a ticket for the RV show. He did not have anything that excited me so I walked around.
I stumbled upon the Redwood 39MB with the Silver and black exterior and the Urban Clay interior white wood with white leather. Super bright and not what every other RV looks like on the inside. Love it!!
This one had the butler pantry that I think I would prefer over a second half bath.
I am done looking!! It is exactly what I have been looking for. My girlfriend loves everything in white. I dont care on the interior colors too much as long as she's happy. Knowing her for 8 years you learn what to compromise on lol I'll probably end up telling her I want this one in all white to make her happy lol
I love everything about it except the 300 people a day at the show that have been in and out of it.
So the question is how do I get one just like that that 1000 or more people have not trampled through? Just as importantly what kind of pricing should I expect if I need to order? Is there any options that are a must? This pretty much had everything. I did like the RV tablet.
Not sure on the glass vs gas cooktop. Had the convection top. i LOVE how clean that looks and takes up so little space. But having a gas oven would be handy once in a while?
Any imput is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
