Is that a wax or a film? I had some of that 3m on one of my other cars and liked it but it was expensive. I'd hate to see what it would cost for the front of this trailer.

You might want to find out if you can buy this from them. That will certainly simplify the reinstall and assure that it looks the same after the film.
PS: When I went to wax the front, I found that some of my letters have gaps where the cement didn't adhere to the paint. I have to find out what they used & try to recement them down.
Also, anyone know of a solvent for the excess silicone sealer that won't hurt the paint? There are several spots where they sloppy in the sealing of the joints and I'd like to clean that up..
5th_Time said:I know. My slide weatherstrips have grit stuck to them from the paint shop. I wanted to clean them during the waxing process. I've used WD40 before on auto w/strips. Fortunately, I decided to spray a rag instead of wetting down the weatherstrip. The moment the edge of the rag touched a small spot of the paint, it damaged it. Not sure why the clear is damaged so easily. Also, the WD40 did nothing for the small section of weatherstrip I tested. Need to try something else.
