New Owner and New to the Forum

OnTheRoad, I have a question for you, if you wouldn't mind. Why did you select the 8K axles for your unit?

Thanks for your reply!

We purchased our 38GK in December during the ice storm here in North Texas. (Good timing!) After an extended PDI, we took delivery of this beauty. There were some issues such as replacing the heater, electronic door locks, and a couple other small issues that needed to be fixed. ExploreUSA in Denton did a great job of getting everything completed. We upgraded from an Elevation Toy Hauler which was not a good experience (enough said). Love this RW and we are looking at the Idaho Tote to continue to take the Harley with us when we full time later this year. Since the 38GK weighs significantly more than the Elevation, I have my driving test for my Class A (non CDL) license on Thursday.

We really like the insights and advice everybody brings to this forum.
Congrats on your new unit! Hope you enjoy it to the limit!

S & K, we chose to go with the 8K axles to give us peace of mind and to boost our GVWR. The coach had a 16,500 GVWR, I'm working with the factory to determine whether they should have listed it at 17,500 and they are investigating with the engineers.
Don't get me wrong, I really don't want to load it up to 17,000 plus, I just want to make sure the coach is properly rated. Right now we're at around 16.400 with all tanks partially filled.
