New RV'er

Just traded the RV without wheels (Larson 310) for one with wheels, Four Winds 26B. First thing we noticed was we are paying about $2.50 a gallon for gas rather than $4.75+ a gallon at the docks....sweet!

Our "RV without wheels" was a 3888 twin diesel that got 3mpg if you kept her at a 9mph cruise. So running the Challenger which is averaging 7.5mpg at a 65mph cruise is much easier on the pocket book, let alone the difference from buying 300 gallons of diesel on the water to buying up to 80 gallons of gasoline on land.

I with you, won't be complaining about fuel spending anytime soon.

Love our Chateau 31W, we never had a boat but on our last cruise a couple told us they spent 5 grand driving there boat from NY to Miami. Kinda makes RVing sound like a bargain.
