Hello all, found this site a few months ago. Happy to say we have purchased a new to us 2014 Daybreak 34XD. Going from a home to full time RV.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new coach! There is so much to see and learn in this great country, you are in for some great adventures!

Congrats on the RV and the change to full time as well as welcome to the forum!

Thank you for the warm welcomes. We will post pics when we pick it up. This site has been so very informative.

Bob downsizing has been brutal. I just am ready to be on the road. Tired of looking at this RV in the driveway. We actually ate our first meal in the RV and watched a movie. A few more gadgets (surge protector and hose for the portable gas grill)to buy and seal the exterior. Cleaned the water heater and sanitized the fresh water tank. Still need to change the oil in both the engine and generator. I want to get the unit weighed. The basement is not quite 1/2 full. Loaded up all the clothes I think will use. Having a yard sale this weekend. We set a date for March 1. fingers crossed.

For us the downsizing was liberating! The trip to the thrift store and to the dump was downright exhilarating. I can imagine for some it is scary but this is what we really have wanted for some time. We are looking forward to your full time adventures and hearing all about them! Feel free to ask any questions you want, many of us have "been there, done that!"

Welcome! I have found a lot of smart people on these forums who are extremely willing to help out. I certainly know lots more now than I did when I started, thanks to these folks. Enjoy!

StepOut a happy congrats to you folks. Going full time have to be somewhat easy but hard as well. Loading up the coach has to be so happy as freedom will win you over but the downsizing has to be somewhat sad in it own way. As you leave your base camp a hole bunch of memories will stay behind and that will likely be the sad part.
The planning for the move into full timing has to be fast crazy in it own way but I would think of pure excitement as the new journey begins. The planning and the What's around the corner and the are we there yet has to give one a feeling of being a Free Bird just taking flight on a sweet soft breeze...wow! Many of us would say , boy I could do that in a flash while others like me , the bride and the dog would be a bit more like can we??? Is it for us??? As well as a bunch of other OH MY's!
So when that day in the future happens March 1, fire er up and put the wind to your back. Travel safe, be happy and let himself be your copilot and take it to the moon and back! Enjoy your new adventure and be safe.
I'm 100% new at this RVMH thing and this forum and it's folks have assisted me in many issues with solid advice. They , even though we have never met, will guide along the way and I expect like myself will love reading about your adventure as they might just hitch a ride on your journey. All the best folks! < K9Piper <

Congratulations on both the rv & going fulltime!!
We've been fulltime for just shy of 10 years & wouldn't trade 1 minute of it.
The downsizing was also liberating for us, while most of our friends & family thought/think we're nuts.
We just made the move to the next phase, we bought a small house in a 55+ resort & looking to downsize our rv this time to a smaller rv & smaller/narrower truck to just travel between grandkids.
Good luck, safe travels & hope you enjoy the lifestyle as much as we have!
