NEW section request

Owners, but Thor is watching the posts!

Nothing wrong with them watching and reading the this or any forum. It gives them GREAT incite on what they are doing right and wrong. I just wanted to make sure that they had no power to alter what is said on the forum.

No power at all! I have been speaking my mind on here very frankly. I agree it is good they are listening, I just hope they are acting as well!

It would be nice if they operated like one of their major competitors, Forest River.

When I owned my Forest River Class C and posted a question on their forum quite often it was a Forest River Engineer (bclemons) that answered the question on-line.

I will tell you whenever someone posted something negative about Forest River or their customer service they were quick to get the individual's problem resolved down to scheduling service visits, providing documentation, bringing other engineers etc... That in my opinion was a class act.

I guess there is a reason why the are a major competitor of Thor's, as stated in Thor's annual report to the SEC.

Thanks for the new section suggestion - we're looking at this :)

I tried to reply to your PM's mods and admin. But for some reason it will not allow me to. Not sure why. So here is my reply to your PM.

Dear Mods and or Admins,
Can you create a section for DRV owners as Thor bought them in January? We may need sub sections within that section down the road. But for now a section would be GREAT. Many thanks.
Your newest member,

PS- I have sent this message to all of the mods and admins. As I know that some are never on the forum.
I will forward this on to the owners . They are pretty good at at getting back. The problem ,may is they may have to get permission from Thor to include.

Why? Your statement is a completely different then what you state on the forum (see below in red). But if they own the forum that means that they have the power to sweep things under the rug by deleting threads and posts. Forums are a
GREAT incite for manufactures on what they are doing right or wrong. Feedback on changes and designs is CRUSIAL. I mean lets be honest, anytime something is mass produced, you can have problems. To me what makes one company better then another is how they deal with problems and issues. I mean anyone can sell you something. But when problems arise, this is when manufactures can stand out in a BIG way. Sorry for the long winded PM, but I just want to be up front with you. They may even want to add Cruiser RV also as they bought them out when they did DRV. I tried to post the link to that press release, but it will not allow me to as a new member.
Thanks,
Ryan

ThorForums.com is not in any way associated with Thor Industries or its associated RV manufacturing divisions.

PS- I'm a mod on a couple of other forums so I understand a bit more then your average member.

So why would you need to ask Thor for their permission? Just curious!

Not sure why either. DRV is a recent acquisition of Thor Industries so they now fall under the Thor umbrella as stated in their annual report filed with the SEC.

Hey folks -- please don't give the site team a tough time - they are volunteers and just being cautious. They do an amazing job keeping the board friendly and free from rancour :)

Well, a simply question that's all...certainly didn't think I was giving anyone a tough time?
I appreciate the moderators and host doing what they do certainly.......It just sort of stood out I guess, the statement was made there is no affiliation....then it says the need to ask permission....a logical question I thought...not spiteful, just a question
Apologies if this somehow offended.
