Hello all!! Glad I found this forum, very excited to share our experiences!! We just purchased a 2005 paradise point 36RD. My father-in-law was the owner since new, now we are the proud owners. It's like a house that's never been moved into, but there's parts that have been abused...I'll try to not overload my first post/questions, but, I have many!!

1) rubber roof doesn't leak, however, as per the paperwork I have on the rv, it's at it's life expectancy. I'm a firm believer in an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure...part of me wants to keep monitoring the roof "if it ain't broke..." and watch for water leaks. The other part would rather rip the band aide off and start fresh...this rv has been outside, uncovered it's whole life...
2) A lot of the system function checks I'll accomplish while we're out enjoying our adventures, but others are out of my wheel house. I'd like all 4 slides to be inspected and any issues addressed. I know at least 2 slides have/will have problems. The one in the master bedroom has a water leak. The other one, on my pre departure walk-around, has its wiring bundle unsupported and rubbing on the tires, exposing some wires through their respective coatings, still functions, but, for how long...I've temporarily fixed the rubbing issue. Is this kind of service one that I should trust my local Camping World dealership to handle or does anyone know of any refurbishment facilities within 3-500 miles from NE Ohio?
3) there's several areas of the carpeting that has animal stains (smells like dog urine/feces) and servere mold due to the water leak of the slide. I'd like to have those sections of carpet replaced with lenolium or similar flooring as well as the floor under layment replaced.

I know there's a lot going on here, just excited to use our new-to-us camper, just want my young family and I to be safe inside and not all, but most systems to work as intended!! Thanks for any advise/feedback!!

take it to a reputable dealer and have them go over it. They know what to look for, in addition to your observations. they can also give a price to do repairs.
