What to BUY???

We have a 2008 Ford F250 6.4 Turbo charge diesel 3.73,Supercab.We like the floorplan of the new Cruiser CF31RE that appears in the 2009 brochures and on the website, but no specs for weight, length or hitch weight are available.Does anyone have any info on this new model,or when the specs might be available. Is it unusual to advertise a model for the current year(2009) and yet not give the specs? We would hate to purchase something else without seeing this model first. The DW really likes the floorplan. Thanks in advance.I hope it is ok to post this in this section.Being a newbie ,I wasn't sure :) DJ

Looks to me like a brand new model and they don't have all the specs together yet.
Be Patient.

By the way-----welcome to the forum. Hope you end up with CR

Your local dealer should beable to provide this information and / or a call to CR.

_popupControl();

Comparing Models & floor plans, I would think it's got to be close to a CF30SK

Thanks guys..Just made a call to CR and sure enough, the model comes off the line TODAY,and specs should be published in a week or so.If the pin weight does end up to be 1600 lbs,is this too much for my box??? I know the weight to Pull it will be no problem, but I have concerns about that hitch weight, maybe I'm too cautious. Will I exceed my GFWR of 9600 lbs,the truck weighs 8000 lbs with a full tank but no passengers. What are you guys pulling for hitch weights with Ford 250's??? (diesel turbo 6.4,3.73,supercab).Thanks again!!!

Welcome DJ...

Already, I know you are a smart man.

the operative sentence in your opening thread= "DW really likes the floor plan".

Hey Walt ; What is the PIN wt on your CF29RK ? How does it pull ? I am now towing a cougar 276 with a pin wt of 1200 lbs . Hard to say what it is loaded with the DW's shoes on board. It pulls like a dream so would like to stay in the range of 1400 lbs for the PIN . Is there anyone out there safely putting 1600 lbs hitch wt with a 250 Ford diesel? DJ

DJ, I really don't know my pin weight.

All I know is that ,with the tow package, the truck does not even try to "squat" when the camper is hooked up.

I don't even know it is backthere....look in the rear view mirror occasionally,to make sure I have not lost it.

Welcome DJ! We have a 29RK and an F250SD with the V10. No problem. The rating on ours is towing of 12.5K

A NEW TRUCK,

Welcome, I hope your thick skined lol.

Hey 1967; Whatsa matter you ? You no alika my truck LOL . Actually, the more I read the more I am sure that I defintely have the right truck to do the job . I have the camper package and the trailer towing package on this lovely Ford truck. Perhaps I am being overly careful on the PIN since I can tow 15,600 lbs . I have about 2300 lbs to spare before exceeding rear axel restriction . Your not a Chev man are you .

When I was there on Tuesday, Randy said that it looked like they were just starting a new unit. It may be that one. There was an engineer and a woman there watching and writing down everything that was going in to the trailer. Randy said she was keeping track of everything for cost and he was watching for any possible changes.

Hey George; You never know but you may have seen my 5ver on the assembly line. Only trouble is,what are they going to take me for $$ ? Do you have any influence at the plant

Its a long way from the Canadian east coast to the factory and about four hours to the closest dealer.

I hope we get to see one soon (CF31RE ). If not we may look at another cruiser anyway. Everyone is saying great things about them. Thanks for your info from the factory visit. DJ
