Well, I spent this weekend washing and waxing my RW. I'm either dumb, or just old school, but I did it all by hand, no polisher. It took me two days and one bottle of motrin, but I got it done. Although I'm sore, I enjoyed doing it, but mostly seeing the finished results was very rewarding. Of course it rained about an hour I finished:banghead:
I used to use a 6 foot ladder, what a pain that was. I was going to get a taller ladder, but came across a scaffold on sale at Harbor Freight . Boy, what a difference this scaffold made. It is perfect for the job.

Well, of course it's suppose to rain! Hubby took 4 days to do ours, didn't do it in the heat of the day. He said he got to know the RW up close and personal.

Yours is a beauty, for sure!

Just did the same thing here at the camp site. No cement pad and no baker just a little giant and a whole lot of good old elbow grease. I like the hand method because I can inspect as i go.

I just ordered a few bottles of wash - n-wax... figured I wont have time to do the real deal , so that will do till I get back.. I hear it works great..
BUT I am in the scaffolding category and 4 days... 1 per flat surface...

I spent all weekend over the 4th buffing and waxing our rig. Even though I used a buffer my arms and shoulders are sore. I guess I'm getting wimpy in my old age. I will say though, the motor home is easier to wax then the Redwood was.

I have a professional detailer with his crew come over at least twice a year and do mine. $300.00 and no Advil needed. Luckily I have an rv port to park under so it stays looking really good.

Wow, your finished product looks great! Kudos to you for doing it all by hand and by yourself. That must have been a tough but very rewarding job. That's a very nice RW you got there :)
Journey on!

Good to hear I am not the only one that uses good old elbow grease.

Why is it easier?

Did you ever figure out how to haul it with the trailer
I am still looking for something

Shane,
I believe the below trailer is my best option. I will still be about 1 3/4 feet over, but I am willing to chance that small amount. The pictured trailer is from USA Trailer, it is about a $1000 less than the Kendon trailers which are almost the same as the USA Trailers.

Thanks
I will look into them. I am still looking at the tote and load the bike sideways to shorten up the length. may end up having something built
