Omni/Magnitude XG32 info

Follow the link to the web site and this is what I have, you would need the left and right recliner and the center section.
We purchased our XG32 new last year and this seating was in it.

I went on the Lippert site and the item you linked was a "woven fabric color option, Norlina" Is this really a fabric or a vinyl surface that looks fabric? On my Raptor toy hauler it had the TP furniture, manual recline but did vibrate and heat and it looked like a woven fabric from a distance, but was in fact a vinyl type. It wasn't uncomfortable but not raving comfort either. It did breathe better, wasn't as sticky, than many vinyl fake leather surfaces like some of the recpro stuff.

Yes there is a woven fabric cover. If you look at the pic I posted of mine it is not that material, not sure what it's called but it's a fake leather it is also listed on the web site I posted the link too.

Thanks I may have to consider that. I say MAY because a lot of Lippert stuff is sub-par and the TP furniture I've had in the past is for occasional use only. I talked to a local furniture store that carries the Best brand line and the specific model I would need isn't something carried and ordering time is 5 months. The Best brand "space saver" is similar to the wall hugging like Lazyboy and others with a 4" rear clearance required. I'll investigate further the Lippert TP line and see if I can get material swatches. Thanks again for the follow up.

They are very comfortable :thumb:

KW a couple more questions about the recliners. Were the ones you got the powered "Seismic" or manual "Heritage" ones? I'm researching the Lippert site and am going to call them in a bit about ordering times, shipping, etc. Looking at the manual versions, that's not much different from the Recpro in $$$ but Recpro is out of stock. Lippert doesn't have that note on their products but I'll confirm with a call. The Lippert powered ones are more than recpro, but they "do more", have more powered features. On my Raptor with the TP furniture the controls were on the arm rest by the cup holder and very sensitive to random accidental touching. Meaning the heat feature was easily and accidentally turned on and when it's 98* outside and the air conditioners are struggling to cool the RV, adding heat to the butt and back isn't desired. Curious about your impressions on the controls for yours.

kwplot34,
I contacted Lippert and asked them how far the Thomas Payne Seismic theater recliners would need to be away from the wall to be able to recline. They told me 10" which would put the end of the recliner 48" from the wall. I looked at your picture and even though the reclines sit out farther from the wall then the stock one they do not look like they are 48" from the wall. How far is the front of your set out from the wall for proper reclining?

I went out and measured the seats. Sitting flat the backs are 3" from the wall. Recpro says 4" but 3" just lightly brushes the wall as it reclines. Unreclined they are 34" from the wall to a line vertical from the seat. Fully reclined they stick out 56". With the slides in I couldn't fully recline them but could some. Partially reclined say 12" less is a comfortable recline position. Fully reclined a person could slip by to go forward. Good back and lumbar support something I need with my back.

Oops, responded before I realized the question was for kwplot.

Thanks chunker21,
This is good information since I am comparing the Recpro to the Thomas Payne. Recpro seems to be a little more expensive than Thomas Payne. But does not need the 10" distance from the wall

I think the RecPro was less expensive. I got the powered recliners at $1500+. Manual recliners just under $1200, the TP was over 2K plus I think tax and $200 shipping. I think but not certain. There was no tax and shipping with Recpro but maybe different if you are in their home state.

My GF bought a version of these recliners in sectional style and they are comfortable. 3 years and going but some minor peeling which is one reason I went with fabric.

These measurements are from the left side nearest the entry door.
From the the wall too the top of the recliner, the hard frame area not the pillow part is 4" from the wall.
From the wall too the front of the recliner measuring from the wall across the outer side of the recliner to the corner of the frame not the pillow part of the foot rest is 40".

You're correct, when I looked the Thomas Payne up it was around $2k for the set.

chunker21,
I was looking at the Brisa fabric since it looked like a closer color match. That one is about $2100.
I did not think about tax and shipping on the TP recliners. With that included it is about the same price. But TP has massage and lumbar.
Comparing the pictures the Recpro looks to recline more than the TP.

Just found the decision maker.
TP requires a 26" door opening
Recpro requires a 22" door opening
Omni door opening is 25"
So the decision is made, it will be Recpro

We recently put in Thomas Payne recliners. I was worried about getting them through the door opening but there was plenty of clearance on a 25” door opening. We didn’t even have to wiggle it around . It just went straight in with no issues.

pstandiford,
Did you install the Seimsic series of TP?
How far from the wall does your recliners sit?

Yep. It is the Seismic series. It sits 4” from the wall. I really think it could sit a bit closer to the wall since it never gets closer than 1 1/2” from the wall.
