On going issue

Does anyone have this issue with all of the cushion covering including sofa, dinning set and driver and passenger seat? They started shedding 1 year after I bout my coach.
Tried to get the dealership to replace but they refused. They are now out of business but Thor should make this good.
I bought it new in 2017, garage kept and have had to revert to cloth covers but notice the pile I continually have to vacuumed.

Why do you ask now?
This is not an rv specific problem.
It is a world wide problem with vinyl from those days.


Go to any local upholstery place for a bid on re-covering.

I have a 2008 Four Winds Siesta I bought in 2014 that had the same problem on the dinnete cushions and driver and passenger seats. I took all the dinnete cushions to an upholstry shop and the D & P seats to a shop that did them. They still look like new even now.

The vinyl on the dash should be the last to peel. The couch was first to go (2 years), followed by the captains chairs (3 years), then the dinette cushions (5 years). The latest to fail were vinyl covered backs to the dinette (9 years). At the 10 year point, the only vinyl left in the coach is the dash. The rest is now fabric.

I had cloth cushions made for my previous fifth wheel to replace the flaking ones. I used RV and Van Surplus. I was quite pleased with their product. They have a huge selection of fabrics, and you can get samples from them.
